My family and I would frequent this restaurant regularly and would be our preference when in the area. Most recently, regulations I believe were changed or management has shifted. We came in with the expectation to have a nice family dinner as we usually have. However, before sitting my child needed to use the restroom. We were then denied the restroom because the gentleman in the front states the restroom was for employees only. That since seating was under 20 people they were not obligated to provide a bathroom. I shared we had been there to eat in the past and were allowed to use the bathroom, which he then replied that it’s a change made. While the food is good, this experience has left a sour taste in how they treat their patrons— let alone denying a child access to a restaurant. Especially when said patrons were anticipating on staying to eat. Not being obligated to provide is a poor excuse when serving food for consumption. So if you have to use the bathroom, hold your bladder or head over to 7 eleven like I was directed to go to.

On this occasion you are correct we did not done in or order take out. Given it’s Father’s Day and our child needed to use the restroom it did not seem logical to place an order in that moment given, again, we were anticipating to eat in. My husband was retrieving our baby from the car which is why I came in ahead so we didn’t have a bathroom accident.
In response to the bathroom not being accessible to the “public” that’s understandable not to take people off the street. We were going to eat in, and as mentioned previously we have had access to the restroom before and during our dining. If this had been a policy that has been applied in the past it would not have left with the experience we did. Sadden to end our patronage. Please do better for the families and the children that may frequent your establishment in the future.

Had a terrible ordering experience placed an order at 6:55 … they took the money out of my account and then at 7:55 they canceled my order saying they were to busy to fill my order .. so I waited for an hour for my food to not even be made or delivered and it’s crazy how they waited until 5 minutes before closing to cancel … I loved this place but after this experience I don’t think I will be back

The food is good, but the service is a 0. They have no manners and treat customers badly. My friend went to buy some corn today; it was $8.50 if I'm not mistaken, and the man said he would charge $10 because he bought the corn at a high price. Mr. Owner, you need to understand that we customers have rights.

Everything about this place is amazing. Food is 10 out if 10. The staff is 10 out of 10. They don't make a single bad thing on the menu.
Prices are high and the food isn’t that good. Customer service is mediocre. In addition, they help themselves to whatever tip they feel they deserve days after you visited the establishment. There is a difference between a gratuity fee disclosed on the receipt at the time of charge and I’m going to tip myself to whatever I want from the card you used at our establishment. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

Took extra money out of my card two days after I had gone there . I called to let them know , the guy that answered said it’s now legal to automatically tip themselves even if a person writes zero where it says tip . I didn’t leave a tip because we didn’t get any service to merit a tip . This was my first and last time going there . They charge $3.50 for a 20 ounce soda 😒 .

I’ve been on the island for over 30 years, and I have to say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. The staff member who helped us was the unhappiest, most inconsiderate person I’ve ever encountered in a service setting.
We placed our order and waited about 20 minutes, only to realize he hadn’t even submitted it yet. When I asked if I could at least have my drink — I had been shoveling all day and was very thirsty — I was told no. I asked three times, politely explaining that I was thirsty, and each time he refused. I even asked to use the restroom and was made to wait another 15 minutes.
At that point, I didn’t bother staying for the food. I paid and left. Unfortunately, they won’t be seeing me — or anyone I know — again.
To the owner: you may want to check in on the staff member who was working last night. He was clearly miserable and far from welcoming, and it reflects poorly on your business

The Best Mexican on Staten Island by far. The owner/host is the absolute best, going the extra mile and making you feel at home. Been here 3 times this week. The lava is outstanding also the chimichanga is crazy also the homemade chips with salsa are like nothing I've ever had
