Perfect place for real tasty and flavorful latte, even with oatmilk.
Experienced barista + La Marzocco coffee machine = šŸ„‡!

They are espresso artists proud of their craft. I suspect the decor is plain to emphasize the experience of the bean itself. Take the first three sips of a latte off the top and at the counter, even if you are taking it to go. You will taste what a latte should taste like. Respect the Bean and it will respect you.

Minimalist decor and design. Really amazing coffee. Service was mixed. Barista, however, was very friendly.

Black Dot is by far the best place to get a good cup of coffee. The consistency of the barista is kinda unreal and you know they care because of the time they put into making each drink perfect. And they are, every time. Also perfect, is the food that the chef is putting out of that tiny kitchen. I’m a bit obsessed with the banana bread and would buy it by the loaf if I could. The plates of food that come out are also always consistently beautiful and delicious. Real great community vibes here. Lucky to have them in the area.

The barista with the worst attitude, unprofessional and rude.
Acts like he would like to be elsewhere or the customers somewhere else

Grab a coffee here on your way out of town!

My Wife and I visited Black Dot while we were in Stone Ridge and we were very pleased with the high quality of the coffee. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Given the rarity of finding great coffee in the mountains, we visited multiple times. Our satisfaction was only exceeded by the great breakfast sandwiches and food options. This is a must stop for coffee and breakfast, if you're in the area.

Parking: Large lot in the rear off street.

Kid-friendliness: There were kids having a ball in the back area, which had tables and a grassy area.

Exceptional coffee and pastries. Sweet area to have your coffee outside with a gorgeous tree that the kids like to climb. Highly recommend!!

Three cheers for Black Dot! HIP-HIP-hoooo-boy-oh-boy . . . It’s very impressive to have lived almost 50 years in NYC only to discover the nastiest barista experience was actually to be found in a bougie cafe in Stone Ridge. Well done, Black Dot!

Interactions with the staff began as simply unwelcoming. However, things turned nasty when a mistake was made on a pastry order. Their behavior became like satirical ā€œbad customer serviceā€ sketch (only not funny).

Everything else about the cafe is well curated. It’s all wasted when one’s experience is colored by snark and seeming disdain. How do I rate ā€œAtmosphereā€ when the staff is so actively rude, they create an unpleasant environment? My partner and I did not make a stink or push back against each indignant response or snarky command. Whomever is in charge should know there’s a big problem with how they treat their patrons.
