We were just passing by and this restaurant really surprised me. It’s kind of small but very nice inside. The service was great and the food was so delicious. We order the short ribs which came with spinach, it was delicious especially the spinach. Fried chicken with potato tots, Chicken Cobb salad great dishes, as well. As dessert, we ordered the butter pecan pudding. Definitely, we are coming back to this place the next time we are around.

The Roost in Stone Ridge, a great find. The other day we had a wonderful burger, with a server at the counter who was super and pleasant. We mentioned we would share the burger and the young woman had the kitchen split the burger and fries to be served on separate plates for each of us. Normally, restaurants would just serve the burger on one plate with a knife for a do it yourself. The chef enjoyed our applause. Our new go to burger place!

Prices are totally fair - especially for breakfast. Love that they’re open 7x week - hard to find in the area!

Delicious food in a small country setting, including outdoor dining on a porch. Nice menu variety with special quiche, soup, and stuffed french toast daily selections. The stuffed french toast was AMAZING!

10/10 experience & food. shoutout to the wednesday afternoon staff, they were beyond efficient in working together while also providing amazing service (best pancake/bacon combo i’ve had in years w real maple syrup!!)
Seriously cannot say enough about this place. We left Manhattan for an upstate weekend getaway and only had 2 days to try a bunch of restaurants on our list. Ended up coming to The Roost both days, it was that good! Did breakfast/brunch first day and lunch the second. Everything we had was amazing. It's the type of place where you can tell no matter what you order, everything is going to be good. Nice homey ambiance, mom n pop feel, really friendly staff, and super reasonable prices. The wraps , sandwiches, eggs and everything in between were perfectly prepared, super flavorful and very fresh. We even tried their empanada special which were delicious!!!! The Roost is officially on our all time greats list!!!

The food was good - well priced, well displayed, and Delicious. I thought it was odd that the place seemed so empty. But as I watched people come in, I figured it out. Every phonecall they got was people asking what the restaurant's specials are. Every person who walked in went right to the special's wall. This place is a real gem - but needs a massive overhaul of the menu. The core menu was, unfortunately, very basic. From what I saw, I wasn't the only one who felt that way. But their specials were unusual and delicious! They need to take more risks on their menu, I think.
