Stopped in here after we took a hike across the way, it's an excellent way to start or end your walk. Today, we got the Jackson hero (Waffle Fries, Chicken Cutlet, Gravy, Mozzarella and American Cheese)...So Fire Everything was fresh, and customer service was excellent, these employees work well on a busy day!

Nice assortment of food and quinoa, brown rice and other whole grain options. No whole wheat crust for pizza! Hispanic woman wouldn't sell me a small container of whole grains with two eggs. She insisted that I had to buy the large size, which is too much for one person. I understand Spanish; I heard her whisper to the guy at the register to charge me for a large size. They put profit before customer needs and have a minimum on whole grain. Wonder if health department has any relevant regulations.

How are you gonna charge $13 for a wrap and not even listen to what goes inside? For some people Mayo ruins the meal. Would’ve considered asking for some assistance if it weren’t for the poor attitude at the counter and long wait for my incorrect food. Never again. Maybe the pizza’s good. I’ll never find out.

I never leave reviews for anywhere, good or bad, but I felt necessary to leave this one. We used them for July 4th catering , sandwiches and side salads and it was A++. Every guest went out of their way to tell us how awesome the sandwiches and food tasted, asking where it was from. We highly recommend Grist Mill and will use them again in the future. Thank you.

Stopped here for heroes on the way to watch a West Meadow beach sunset, food was great. Loved the Roast Beef panini.Went back another day for breakfast to play at West Meadow beach with my grandson and again the food was great.

Disco fries if it were a sandwich. The Jackson has chicken cutlet, waffle fries, American and mozzarella cheese, and brown gravy. It was pretty great, would have been even better served with a small cup of extra gravy for dipping!

My husband wants a quick pizza and I felt like a Cobb salad. I ended up with a shrimp & my husband a chicken salad sandwich. Lunch was fresh, fast & delicious. It looks like a clean deli with a few small tables indoors and two tables outside in the quaint strip mall. Everyone was friendly. One man at the register & another preparing lunch.
I've been looking for a good pizza place around stony Brook for years and could never find one that was able to make a decent tomato basil fresh mozzarella pizza. Grist Mill Eatery blew my expectations out of the water. Every aspect was made to perfection including the texture of the dough and crust, flavor of the sauce, and amount of salt. Their ingredients are also incredibly fresh. This place is definitely becoming my go to place for pizza

We went months ago for a pizza pie and it was a decent pizza for 10 bucks (I guess the special for the day). We Went back today because we were in the area. Place was very busy. The wraps we tried today for the first time and they were very good and fairly priced especially with everything going on. Was pleasantly surprised. All the workers were very nice also.

Spent a wonderful Valentines weekend in downtown Stonybrookvillage. Spent the weekend at 3 Villages Inn Went to Grist Mill for Breakfast on the way home. The locals eating in were right ot of a Norman Rockwell painting. Had a great conversation were friendly and welcoming As far as the food goes. Both egg sandwiches were perfect delicious and fresh. Waited a few minutes but fresh food is worth waiting for and the locals floor show was well worth watching. My wife wants to sell and move to the North Shore just so we can become part of the obvious Sunday coffee clatch. I'm not moving but I'll definitely go back. Another weekend at 3 Village Inn and another Breakfast at Gristmill. Food is delicious. Can't go wrong !!!!! Get some

Popeye hero was tasty and hearty just like the character. It was made in less than 10 minutes and the service was helpful, descriptive, and friendly. If you want something quick to ear or a place to work, the seats have outlets too. I'd stop by again before or after a walk by Avalon Nature Preserve down the block.
