First, our server and bartender Shannon was a rockstar! She was kind and attentive, and would ultimately track us down in the shopping center to return a birthday card we left behind!
I had the chicken and waffle sandwich and it was just ok. My friends had the chicken fried steak, which was incredible! The Prosecco flute option and the cold brew options were fun and tasty!
PLEASE NOTE!!!! This restaurant is located in the back of Sweet Mamas, so don’t look for a sign that says Grandpa’s Shed. Walk into the front door of Sweet Mama’s and they will guide you to “the shed”…
We enjoyed stopping here in December to enjoy their holiday cocktail menu. Lots of tasty choices (we especially enjoyed the Fig Mule). We were pleased to see the seasonal coffees as well as the coffee flight menu and can't wait to come back and try those.
Friendly and attentive service. Very good burgers and quesadillas. Great place for a couple to chill or a small group to gather.

Worst meal ever....disgusting. You could eat better at Tara's and leave eating better and with extra money in your pocket. Beer warm...menu limited so we ordered appetizers and that was bad.
Awesome burger and huge portions. We were looking for a place with a nice outdoor deck due to an uptick in you know what locally. Great service and very pleasant.
Food was great, big portions and reasonable prices. service was fast and efficient. Mozzarella sticks were good. Brussels waffle, Funky Monkey French toast, and Oreo cookie and cream waffle were all excellent and the Veggie egg white wrap was very good too.
Grandpa’s shed is Sweet Mama’s! This is a duplicate account that should be merged because it is not on any signs and is confusing. Hopefully this will help someone else who was trying to find Grandpa’s Shed.
Brunch is great, drinks are done right, atmosphere is cool, waitresses are very attentive.
Super cute little bar with great cocktails and even better grub. We had the cheese grits that tasted nice and mild with cheese that stretched forever, and corned beef hash that actually tastes like real meat.. and when you eat them both together, you have actual savory, cheesy perfection. Drop by and check them out!
My husband and I were on the road and looking for a place nearby to grab some dinner. We live in the area and had breakfast here about a year ago. (No wonder it's been a year since we've gone back!) I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and my husband got the fish & chips with a cup of soup. I had asked for extra dressing on the side. (I like to dunk my sandwich in Thousand Island) The first item to come out was our Cokes. Flat & syrupy. Not a big deal, but still. My husbands cream of mushroom soup cam out ... most definitely came from a can, but he didn't mind it. Then our entrees came out. I have seen more meat on a starving dog than on my Reuben. (I should've taken a picture.) It was tasty, but so skimpy on the meat. The coleslaw was warm and undesirable. The pickle was decent! My husbands fish and chips were not to his liking. (I never would have ordered all that fried stuff anyway) but you know ... he's his own man! Lol Anyway he said it was pretty tasteless and once we got home he made a few trips to the bathroom. They were short staffed and the seating and service were slow, even though the restaurant was pretty empty. I understand that this is the new normal and wouldn't have minded if the food was good. Our waitress was pleasant, albeit she never came back to the table until we were finished. My husband needed more "flat syrupy coke!" All in all this restaurant is a 2 for 2 failure for us. We won't be back. As others here have said, the interior could use a lot of sprucing up. It's dreary with no ambiance and old sticky wooden tables. Owners really should consider it since there's another really cute breakfast place where the food is really good. It's a stones throw away called "Crazy Beans." The other side of the restaurant holds an ice cream parlor. Maybe they should just stick to that. I never like to leave negative reviews, but I just want people to not waste their money.

I like this spot. It seems hidden and local. Great vibes and great beer.
I visited this resturant for lunch and I was very pleased with the service and the food. The wait for the food did not take long and the waiter was very kind and always checked in.
This is a really fun spot. Cannot wait for the pandemic to end so I can stop in.
Sweet Mama's in Stony Brook village is awesome!!! The food and service are exceptional!!! They serve breakfast all day which is nice. They have great burgers and sandwiches as well. I've only been for breakfast and lunch and each time was great. Set in historic Stony Brook village also a big plus. Can't wait to return when things are back to normal! They also have the best homemade ice cream!!
