I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this place but I went in for my sister's birthday a few weeks ago. We ordered the wood ear mushroom salad, edamame and the Shanghai soup dumplings for appetizers. The mushrooms are reason alone to go back. My entrée was the dry pot chicken which came in a wok lit by sternos underneath and full of dried peppers with a perfect amount of Sichuan peppercorns. My mouth was oscillating between the delicious burn and the tingling and numbing effects of the peppercorns. The other entrées were fantastic. Beef flat noodles with a savory sauce, a mountain of port fried rice, and a delicious pork noodle dish. For dessert, perfectly fried and sugared sweet potato cakes. My one real regret is not going to this place sooner. Our server was lovely and the owners made my sister's day special.

Food here is wild. As close to authentic you can get. Spice level is great and their numbing spice menu items are also tasty. I highly recommend their spicy flat rice noodles as a side to any of their meat dishes. Their hotpot portions are smaller but very dense and goes perfectly with rice or noodles. Only taking off one star because sometimes their food can be salty. But even when it's salty my husband and I eat every bit of it

We enjoyed our takeouts. Over all was much better than any other local Chinese restaurants in terms of flavor, greasiness and saltiness. Grilled fish: Not heavily seasoned , right amount of saltiness which is a huge plus for me. Some MSG ( I forgot to request NO MSG). But over all decent. I specially liked all mixed veggies in the dish, such as fresh bamboo shoots, black fungi, tofu, Chinese cauliflower, lotus, celery, Chinese asparagus, etc. this dish could be a 5 stars if used little oil. I had to use paper towel to degrease before eating it. Otherwise, nice aroma and soothing taste. Double-cooked pork. This dish is considered as a benchmark for any Sichuan cuisine restaurants. This one was very average. Excessive oil used in the dish made it less enjoyable. The dish was somewhat overcooked. It tasted too dry and no nice Guoqi. I couldn't taste flavor from fermented black beans. A pity. Wuxi ribs. Way too much oil! Too greasy! Cumin tofu. Enjoyed by my family. I had some dry red chill pepper pieces. Nice right amount of heat to mine for me. But pleasant. Shouldn't Green Tea be healthy and light ? A keeper for Sichuan food. It could be a real star if they cut down the amount of oil they used in all dishes.

So, let me spill the tea on our recent dining escapade at this spot—it was a bit of a rollercoaster. Now, don't get me wrong, the food here is downright fantastic, but we hit a snag in the form of one of their hostesses.Last time, we had this super-friendly hostess who made us feel right at home. Fast forward to this visit, and it's like we walked into a different universe. We tried asking about the menu, and it felt like we were talking to a brick wall. Recommendations? Nonexistent. It was like we were bothering her with our existence. Then came the menu debacle. We asked to keep one, and she snatched them away like they were secret files. "Get them later if you need them," she said. Talk about feeling rushed and unappreciated. The real head-scratcher? When the bill arrived, suddenly, our frosty hostess did a complete 180, flashing the friendliest smile in the room. It was almost comical how the vibe changed. Here's the scoop—we decided to keep it real with our feedback and skipped the tip. The kitchen and the rest of the wait staff were great, but this hostess threw a bit of a curveball. It's like enjoying an epic movie, but someone's constantly kicking your seat—annoying as heck.My advice to management? Sort out the attitude issue. The food's worth the visit, but feeling like you're crashing a party you weren't invited to? Not cool. So, in a nutshell, incredible food, quirky service, and a tip that stayed in our pockets. Hoping the next visit is smoother sailing.

Always consistently great & authentic Chinese food here. Everything I have tried on the menu has been delicious. You can ask the chef to increase or decrease the spicy level to your preference. Ambiance can be better but it is all about the food.

Love this restaurant! When you first sit, you are greeted with some delicious hot peanuts and delicious jasmine green tea. Their menu has a lot of great choices. They have some of the most authentic Chinese dishes around. We love their boiled zhong dumplings and the leek dumplings. My favorite is the malo tofu. My husband loves their dry pot and Singapore noodles. Every time we come the food is awesome and the staff is always pleasant. Definitely recommend!!!

Server yelled at us for not giving 20% tip, told us if we don't have enough to tip 20% to never come back! Terrible!

A nice and clean place with super friendly service. Dining area is open and bright with a semi open kitchen that can't really been but you can hear the chefs and you can def small the amazing aromas eminating from the clanging pots and woks lol. Food is pretty good and the portion sizes are generous esp considering the price point. Will return when we are back in the area

I do not get the hype on this place. Very average and so over priced. Portions small so be careful. Dumplings were dried out. Kung pao chicken had a lot of crunchy, grizzle bits. Not tasty at all. The orange beef was so overpowering with orange flavor. Sorry, but this is totally not worth the price and the quality is poor. Also a total turn off was the case of Spam they had on the counter and were obviously using. Totally not impressed.
