Slowest customer help I have ever seen. 15 people behind the counter walking around like NPC's. Stood there for 15 minutes with a long line. Not one person helped. Avoid if you value your time. Ended up, walking out.

I thought my egg sandwich was great and they got it out quicker than any bagel store I’ve seen.

I've been getting bagels here for several years, but I went recently and have to say I noticed it was kind of empty, and hardly any bagels left. This was around 12:30 on a week day. I couldn't believe they kept such low stock like that when many people still get bagels at lunch. This wasn't the first time this has happened either.
Next issue and the main issue is I have witnessed this place get dirtier and dirtier every passing month. This time I just felt like why should I keep coming back when they charge the most expensive costs for food, and don't care enough about my business or anyone else's enough to make sure this place is kept clean. Seriously, you guys have to do a better job. It's very grimy. And your ceiling is disgusting. Would it kill you to take some of those profits from over charging everyone and invest a tiny amount to clean up your ceiling?
This is a food establishment. The floors, tables, showcases, windows, and bathrooms, have to be kept as clean as possible. Fast food chains like burger king and mcdonalds never have this problem. Figure out what ever you need and try to be better than fast food places. I will be back in a few weeks and will gladly update my review if I see improvements. If not I will not be a customer any more. But for now, it just feels like you are letting the business die out.

I was running errands and wanted to surprise my wife by getting her a gluten free bagel which I know this shop carries. To save time I decided to get my lunch from here too.
The woman at the counter asked for my order. I started with "Do you have any gluten free bagels left?" She replied no (not a big deal...it happens). As I was disappointed, I made the offhand comment of "gee, that's why I came here."
The woman was incredulous and openly mocked me. "That's the only reason you came here"
My reply was "Yes. My wife is gluten free and I know you carry them." I toyed with going somewhere else for my lunch, but was pressed for time, so I went ahead and placed the remainder of my order.
I am deeply disappointed that this woman lacked the customer service skills needed to deal with the public.
I don't usually go out of my way for a bagel. We order for parties from a shop closer to home. If bagels show up at the office, I will have one. But next time I am running through Stony Brook and need lunch, I will think thrice before returning to this shop if this interaction is representative of their service expectations.
On the bright side, the restaurant was clean and roomy. The bagel and cream cheese tasted as it should.
The only bad taste was the service. I hope that changes for the owners sake.

This is my favorite bagel store. The bagels are always fresh - even at 2:30 in the afternoon.
They are always busy.
Over the holidays, I bought a dozen bagels for out of state family.
Not only did my family love them but we were able to enjoy the bagels for days!! They stayed fresh.

No matter how many times I give the place a chance they never get the order correct. They rush and ensure no accuracy. They have screwed my order up 4 times finally I’m done going there. Also worst poppy bagel ever like 4 poppy seeds on the entire bagel. Breakfast shouldn’t be that difficult it’s really a joke

First time ordering from here. My coworker and I ordered breakfast through Door Dash. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese and received a bacon egg and cheese. They have french toast on the menu and the picture they have is french toast with powdered sugar and strawberries. My coworker added special instructions "PLEASE PUT SYRUP IN THE BAG". She received french toast with no powdered sugar, no strawberries and no syrup. Instead of syrup they put in grape jelly. Never ordering from here again.

If you are looking to get out of the heat and grab a quick bite don't go here. It's a million degrees and there's no air conditioning. I'm not sure how employees can stand the heat especially during the heat wave.
Need to up their counter servers. Ordered gutted salt bagel with cream cheese and 3 other things. Got home and NO cream cheese on bagel not even gutted!
Check you order before you leave!

People who work here are always super nice and I have been coming here for over 15 years! I think the owner needs to stardarize the training for each and single employee.
For example:
-What is the difference between not toasted and lightly toasted?
- how much cream cheese needs to be added for each order.
I ordered an everything bagel, lightly toasted with cream cheese… what I got was a lightly toasted bagel with practically NO cream cheese (see pictured below). Ok people make mistakes…no problem. So I’m still hungry and decide to order a second bagel……egg everything lightly toasted with cream cheese.. what I got was a burnt bagel (see picture below) with a good portion of cream cheese.. so consistency wasn’t there. Bagel was burnt and not edible.
So will I come here again? Probably yes since the people who work regularly are super nice and respectful. I just wish every member was trained equally so these mistakes don’t happen.

So this is a very mixed review... I'm down visiting from MA for Mother's Day and I really wanted bagels from my favorite bagel place. I went in for the first time in like a year, and was surprised to see that the line which had always been out the door was only a few people long. When I went to take my order, the guy at the counter with his hair pulled back barked, "NEXT!" so I went up, smiled, and said "Good morning, how are you?" and he just scowled at me and didn't say a word. Yikes.
I placed my order, then while I was waiting, an older gentleman came up and handed me a rose for Mother's Day. He was so sweet. It was such a contrast with the grumpiness of the counter guy. Then I got my order, which included three rainbow bagels for my kids. I'm glad I peeked in the bad because they had put in three wheat bagels instead. Then when I got home I went to eat my chicken salad and was surprised at how crazy sweet it was. I had my mom check to see if I was imagining it, but I wasn't. It's almost as if they put sugar in instead of salt. On the plus side, the bagels were delicious... soft, chewy, and perfect. I don't know... maybe it was an off day, but it was definitely disappointing overall.
