I used to frequent this tearoom years ago, and it was truly exceptional. Two people would be able to share a 3 tier of finger sandwiches, scones and desserts, plus a pot of tea for around $60. I thought that was expensive then but at least there was a variety of food. However, it underwent several changes in ownership, resulting in alterations to the menu, food, and prices. Recently, we visited and ordered three scones, tea, two egg salad sandwiches, and a slice of quiche, all came with a small side salad. My bill, including tip, came to a staggering $120. This was simply ridiculous. I also used to adore the decor and the Victorian ambiance, but it has lost its charm. It’s now white and grey marble tables and grey seating. The staff was friendly and attentive, but the overall experience didn’t quite match the magic I once experienced.
Enjoyed the Afternoon Tea Service with my sister and my daughters on Saturday October 11th. My sister and I have celiac disease and cannot have any gluten. My daughter has a dairy allergy. Our waitress Lindsey ( hope I got her name correct) was so very sweet and thorough. She went item by item and told us what was safe and what she needed to swap out. She let us know all our options. She took time with us and didn't make us fee like our allergies were a burden. She treated us like we were her only customers. If that is how she cares for all her customers Robinsons Tea Room is lucky to have her. This is my first Google review but really wanted to sing her praises. Hope this review finds her.
Used to be great- we have been here several times. Now the staff is rushed and super rude. Never again!
Chad was a wonderful server. We were a party of 12 and he took great care of us. The atmosphere was adorable. The food was good.
The food and the staff are excellent. The Victorian style atmosphere is cozy. We went for the afternoon tea service. There was plenty of food, and free refills of hot and iced tea. It's a great time!
Such a pretty place… excellent service and good food (and tea of course too!) We just had a tea party lunch for my 4 year old tea party lover (not a group of children, but the family with grands) and it was perfect. Bonus was that I am gluten free and they were able to provide a great gluten free full tea service for me with very tasty sandwiches, scone and desserts. 🥰
Wonderful afternoon spent in a delicious and delightful tearoom setting. Staff were friendly and accommodating with a fine selection of teas to choose from.
Best chicken salad of my life
An absolute delight! Sam our server was so nice and up beat we werent rushed Tea was fantastic so many to choose from. We ordered the tower and comes with so much food Cranberry scones and cinnamon were warm and large and to die for along with the sandwiches and oooohhh the deserts Yummy. Very pleasant and decorated so cute
Please RUN if you care about your money being wasted! The reviews left on here are really fake reviews. I would not give review if not honest. It's a small decorated place but "bad food" quality! Do not go here for your birthday or special occasion. You are wasting your money and time. The photos are deceiving. I was scammed. The food is really bad quality, not homemade either. Bland, like canned food , no quality sandwiches, low quality and I was shocked at how bad it is for the prices! High prices for bad quality food! I'm being really honest. My father spent around $ 60-100. And the desserts even worse and the tea quality too! This has nothing to do with the hair found in my salad. I called them for refund. The woman manager was away on vacation. Even after her vacation she said no to refunding me. I should just take them to court because it's 2 people against a manager, who was not even there at the tea room. My father is a witness to the food being bad and myself and poor service. 2 people felt the same way! And it was my birthday! They did not care and never refunded my father. There should never be a hair in a salad or meal! The money spent on my birthday was wasted. The service of waitresses was horrible. She should never have got a tip either. Not accommodating and too busy to pay attention to simple things (like honey for tea, dressing for salad ). No one really paying attention just busy with only about 12 tables! . Also very loud noisy place, having to talking over each other and try to hear. And 1 bathroom occupied frequently not good for a senior waiting to use bathroom. would never recommend this place not just about the hair but mainly "the food quality and desserts, and tea poor quality! "

I love this place !!! Everything was perfect , thank you !
I’m so glad I found this place! I had a great meal as a first time customer at Robinson’s Tea Room with a friend. First, the decor and vibe was so pleasant and something to look at on every wall. Second, we got the tea service which was worth every penny with endless tea options and so much food we took some home. The tea was amazing, and served a perfect temperature too. Also, the manager Linda was awesome and was honest that they were a tad short staffed but it didn’t affect our experience because I had time to catch up with my friend and not feel rushed.
We came for my daughter’s birthday the service was amazing and the food was delicious !
My friend and I went to celebrate our 80th birthdays. We had an excellent lunch. As always, everything was delicious.
This place is awful. I was so disappointed coming here after seeing the reviews. Not authentic high tea snacks and had pieces of tea all spilled into the liquid. Go to The Secret Garden in Port Jeff, much better experience. This place is not even close to what they offer at The Secret Garden.
