Please RUN if you care about your money being wasted! The reviews left on here are really fake reviews. I would not give review if not honest. It's a small decorated place but "bad food" quality! Do not go here for your birthday or special occasion. You are wasting your money and time. The photos are deceiving. I was scammed. The food is really bad quality, not homemade either. Bland, like canned food , no quality sandwiches, low quality and I was shocked at how bad it is for the prices! High prices for bad quality food! I'm being really honest. My father spent around $ 60-100. And the desserts even worse and the tea quality too! This has nothing to do with the hair found in my salad. I called them for refund. The woman manager was away on vacation. Even after her vacation she said no to refunding me. I should just take them to court because it's 2 people against a manager, who was not even there at the tea room. My father is a witness to the food being bad and myself and poor service. 2 people felt the same way! And it was my birthday! They did not care and never refunded my father. There should never be a hair in a salad or meal! The money spent on my birthday was wasted. The service of waitresses was horrible. She should never have got a tip either. Not accommodating and too busy to pay attention to simple things (like honey for tea, dressing for salad ). No one really paying attention just busy with only about 12 tables! . Also very loud noisy place, having to talking over each other and try to hear. And 1 bathroom occupied frequently not good for a senior waiting to use bathroom. would never recommend this place not just about the hair but mainly "the food quality and desserts, and tea poor quality! "

This place is awful. I was so disappointed coming here after seeing the reviews. Not authentic high tea snacks and had pieces of tea all spilled into the liquid. Go to The Secret Garden in Port Jeff, much better experience. This place is not even close to what they offer at The Secret Garden.

We had a reservation to celebrate my friend’s 60th birthday. The manager called us an hour beforehand to cancel our reservation because they said they needed time to turn the restaurant over for an event they were hosting after hours. We were extremely disappointed, especially because we could have come earlier in the day at any point, had they let us know in time. We decided to give them grace, as this is the holiday season and we understand things happen. So we re-scheduled for today. Some of the food was great and some of it was less than expected. I can make an exception for that, as it is the experience and the tea that we value the most.

But the straw that broke the camel’s back for me was that they made no acknowledgment of my friend’s birthday. When both reservations were made, I had let them know it was my friend’s 60th birthday and both times they thanked me for letting them know because they said they like to bring out a cupcake and sing Happy Birthday to celebrate, which was just what I had hoped for. While we were there, the staff sang Happy Birthday for another table. Yet nothing for my friend.

I really expected that after having my friend’s actual birthday ruined by Robinson’s Tea Room’s mis-management a few days ago, that they would ensure we had a nice experience given that we were understanding and gracious about rescheduling. I’m very disappointed and will be exploring other tea venues for future celebrations. This place dropped the ball on too many levels for us.

Three of us enjoyed afternoon tea with a reservation. We were seated immediately even though the host couldn't find our reservation- she stopped by later to let us know her book had flipped to the wrong page and apologized for the mix-up.

Service was good, with the servers stopping to check on us at appropriate intervals. We got the things we asked for quickly and accurately. Tea and food delivery was staged appropriately for a leisurely experience which is exactly what we needed after a busy morning of sightseeing.

The food itself was beautifully presented and it was also absolutely delicious! The dessert tier was heavy on chocolate sweets, which one of us doesn't like... if we had realized we might have asked for a substitution on a couple of pieces, but the quantity was so ample he had plenty even without the chocolate desserts. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully prepared and plated. We left very satisfied and with a bunch of leftovers. It was a good value at $45 per and I am looking forward to returning next time I visit Long Island.

Parking: Plenty of parking was available. Sidewalks lead to all shops including the tea room.

Had a lovely time with my mom. It was such a nice experience. The tea was delicious. The towered plates of goodies were just perfect. I will definitely be coming back.

How could a so-called tea room not have plain scones? The clotted cream also was not very good; it wasn't sweet.

My wife.loves these places. Been to a few but this one has been the best so far. Food AND the tea were good. Service as well.

Hours are incorrect; Showed up at 3:40 to be greeted by a “Closed” sign (but with patrons dining.) Hopefully they change their hours to reflect when they’re actually seating.

We arrived early for our reservation and the team was so accommodating and seated us. The food was yummy and the place was packed with guests. We had a wonderful time. The tea was the best part. My son started drinking tea and going to tea shops because of this amazing tea!

The place is lovely, clean. The prices are above and beyond the items. The scones were hard and overcooked; therefore they were very dry. Tea is a little pricey. Cucumbers would be more appealing if they were peeled before putting in a sandwich. Improvement is always in the future.

I recently visited Robinson Tea Room for Mother's Day and the experience was top notch. James the host was kind and inviting. He had helped me prior with a reservation issue and was amazing. Katlyn was our server and she was so sweet to our 4 year old. I did not like one of the teas that I ordered and she was understanding and replaced it with a different flavor. Overall, great experience. My son loved getting his iced tea served to him in his own tea pot and he thoroughly enjoyed his own food tower. This place is highly recommended for a nice date or even a casual lunch. Its a lot of fun seeing how proud my son that he took mommy on a tea date. Oh, and chocolate chip scones all the way!

Best high tea around, hands down! Selection of over 60 loose teas, wide array of fabulous food, and great atmosphere!
