My husband and I had a first time but not last time wonderful experience at Schnitzels last night for dinner. It's a cozy, warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious! Everything homemade. Our server was so sweet and very accommodating, answering all our first time visit questions. I plan on making this a new go to place where we will bring family and friends.

EDIT 10/20/24: They deserve an update. I was surprised to see it so busy on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We had a few apps at the bar, all of which were terrific. Plates around us were piled high and looked delicious, and everyone around us seemed to be clearing their plate of comfort food. Same great ambiance, very friendly attentive service. We'll be coming back again and again and again.

My experience is similar to some others. On a recent Thursday night, we were excited to try this new place. There was a healthy crowd, people sitting outside, and the dining room was full so the hostess sat us at the bar. The decor cozy, with heavy, brown wood furniture you might recall having in your 1970's dining room. The comfy seats and casual vibes work with the Bavarian gastropub theme. Nice selection of german beer, and the Hofbrau served in the traditional large glass stein hit the spot.

The disappointment came as the food arrived, which was at best, meh. My wife is a fan of the big pretzel ,with sides of cheese and honey mustard for dipping (I would have preferred a spicy mustard). I ordered the Jagerschnitzel, the first entree listed, presumably because the chef expects it will be one of their 'signature' dishes.

I can't recall having a more tasteless meal. The meat was hot and crispy, though a little tough (I had the pork), but void of flavor. My hope was that the brown mushroom gravy would improve things, but alas, no. Moving on to the spaetzle, it too was just bland. Adding salt (which I rarely feel the need to do) did little to help. The string beans were fine, with the only burst of flavor coming from the ramakin of red cabbage.

The comfortable atmosphere and german vibes are enough to bring me back, but if the food doesn't improve, I'll look to eat elsewhere, or maybe just come in to sit at the bar for a beer and a Bayern-Munich game (hopefully they'll have them!)

I ordered the Weinerschnitzel it tasted like nothing..It came with cauliflower & red cabbage. The cabbage had the most flavor. I ordered a beer, October fest. In conclusion, go for beer not the food.

The space is a bit small but the food has been very good, second time here. Potato pancakes are excellent. Last time had an entree for dinner, this time a sandwich for a late lunch. Had corned beef, was excellent. And of course, the liter beer is over the top.

Came here tonight for the first time after a friend recommended. Absolutely fantastic. Small place, so may be a wait, we lucked out and got 2 seats at the bar. Our bar tender Lou (also manager) was awesome. We had the potato pancakes, the Reuben and the schmanschnitzel (probably spelled wrong lol). Super delicious, tons of food. We couldn't even finish everything. We will be back and bringing friends!

Waitress nice. Potato pancakes and sauerbraten were burnt. My husband had goulash which he said was tasty. Pretzel bites ok, too. Won't be back. Don't waste your money.
