This was our 3rd visit and we are fans. It's always a crap-shoot if you'll have to wait for a table. The place is small. But once you're in, it's all good. Our waitress last night, Hannah, was very friendly and attentive. The potato pancake appetizer was really good. Deep fried, very creamy and tasty, and the apple butter tasted just like good apple sauce. We had a very non-German dinner of an eggplant pesto sandwich. It was kind of Germanified by calling it eggplant schnitzel, but it was really delicious. I felt like the mushrooms were the kicker - really put it over the top. I had the pils and my wife had the lager - both very good. The draft beers are always good there.

This place is wonderful! Husband and I shared the wurst platter and Reuben sandwich. I had the cinnamon cappuccino, while my husband had a beer on tap and a beer cocktail. Everything was excellent, our server was absolutely lovely. We will definitely be back!

save yourself the time and money. The Pork Jaeger schnitzel was pounded too thin, over cooked and seemed to be deep fried rather than pan fried. The spaetzle was bland and chewy. The sauerkraut was nothing special, straight out of the can. The Apple desert and the Berry Tart were nothing special and the dough on both was on the tough side-previously frozen? I grew up spending summers in Lancaster with my German family and have had great German food. This "German food" is not good, I won't be going back.

I expected more from a place called Schnitzels. Like I expected a schnitzel, not a desert-dry paper thin piece of white pork flattened into a paper thin patch covered in a thick layer of over-fried breadcrumbs under a slimy brown sauce. After scraping off breadcrumbs and eating dry frail insides my plate still looked full, as it was basically a plate of over-fried breadcrumbs to begin with at a $24 price.

First time. What we had was really tasty and priced reasonably. Good choices of food and beer. Closes early for a Friday night but other than that, first experience was great as we met people we knew and talked to closing. Need another visit to be sure, but bet it will be just as good an experience.

Shepherds pie. First night on menu.Worst ever.19 dollars for chopped meat and a spoonful of watery mashed .Been here several times before, and quality going rapidly down hill.Place half empty on a Friday. This meal was a waste of cash.Wake up or join the rest of the failing restaurants.

I had high hopes for this place, such high hopes that I even went for my birthday. Boy was I super disappointed. The appetizer wheel was good but that was really about it. Every entree was over cooked right down to my son's chicken fingers. The server was nice and the restaurant appeared to be clean and well taken care of. I would recommend not going anywhere near this place unless you like throwing money away. Thanks for ruining my birthday dinner.

Had the goulash because we where there before 4pm when the entre's were available. Simply said has anyone ever had goulash with a reddish sauce, no where near brown gravy, not in my life. Also there must be a shortage of meat, I think there was 4 or 5 small pieces of cubed meat.

Normally, before saying "never again" I will give a restaurant a second try. No need to do that for Schnitzels. I can say it after one visit ... NEVER AGAIN. We arrived yesterday (Sun) at 3pm and got lucky. The restaurant and bar was filled, but we got the last available table. Then the problems started. My friend specifically wanted to go there to try the Sauerbraten and I was getting the fish and chips, but they weren't available. We were told to ignore the entire "entre menu" as it was only available after 4pm. OK, so we ordered 2 potato soups, which were at best mediocre, lacking any seasoning (but the side pretzel was good). Since we couldn't order an entre, we ordered 3 Hungarian Goulash from the daily specials menu, and a Rueben. It was by far the WORST Goulash I've ever had. It was nothing more than some noodles in a bowl with a thin brownish broth. Absolutely no vegetables, and only a few small pieces of beef, but the worst part was the seasoning ... there was none! WE added salt and pepper but it didn't help. The Goulash had absolutely no taste whatsoever. Then there was the Reuben. It was a fat sandwich. Clearly the meat was never even trimmed. They also have a huge beer menu, and I ordered a simple lager, which was served with no head. As I watched other beers being poured I noticed none had a head. I can only assume the glasses were not "beer clean" which is surprising since they clearly serve a large variety of beer. On a good note, the staff was very pleasant and the restaurant was clean, but NEVEN AGAIN.
