Best food, service, and quality in the neighborhood and beyond! Every dish we've had here, both dine in and take out, have been incredible. The butter chicken (it's shredded for maximum flavor), lamb chops, biryani, garlic naan, all appetizers, all the curries have been hits.

Their desserts are also underrated. You have to try their homemade pistachio ice cream and if it's on the menu, carrot pudding.

The owner and staff are warm and friendly, so you always feel welcome and taken care of. Highly recommend this spot!

A friend and I had dinner at Cardamon last week, and we both agree it was some of the best Indian food we have ever had. Very flavorful and absolutely delicious! Our experience was only made better by the restaurant team. Everyone with whom we had contact was exceedingly helpful and friendly, although special mention needs to go to Ashma, our server. She is exceptional at what she does!

I tried Cardamom because it is on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for NYC.
It's good, but not great. It's only marginally better than food in Jackson Heights, such as Jackson Diner or Angel --- and both of the aforementioned places are about 1/2 the cost of Cardamom.
Didn't try the cuisine from Goa, so I would come back to try that since it's so niche, but we got tikka masala, garlic naan, onion kulcha, chicken 65, and alcohol --- the bill was almost $90 including tip.
The service is friendly, attentive, and polite.

My favorite Indian in the neighborhood, the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. I love hoe crispy the naan is when you dine in.

This time we got the garlic naan, chicken caldeen, cardamom mix grill, lemon and garlic shrimp, and lamb potato croquettes.

Good place. Fairly consistent. This is my major complaint. When ordering anything ANYTHING with broccoli they don’t stop cutting at the point of woody stalks. I cannot count the times that I have had to spit out what feels like a piece of a 2x4 in my mouth and throat. For heavens sake I’m all for using up food, but when it’s all the time you’re sacrificing my health as I have gagged on this and its splinters! It’s horrible to have this happen every time we order vegetable Korma, and we order this A LOT!!! I’d make it 4 stars but once again, I had to spit this out. When your dinner is a minefield who needs it? PLEASE if you can’t cut it, don’t use it. 7/29 update - again we tried and AGAIN I sat there spitting out pieces if I
Inedible petrified broccoli because they’re so cheap they use even the worst pieces. Done.

This restaurant really has the best Indian and Indo Portuguese cuisine in the area -- even better than the ones in Jackson Heights.
We've been ordering delivery nearly weekly from Cardamom for a couple of years, and finally ate in their outdoor seating today. I try a new dish nearly every meal, and it's never been bad. Occasionally, I might try something that's not to my taste, but the food always feels carefully prepared with pleasant and complex flavours. Some favourites have included tofu vindaloo, xacutti, and the methi mutter mallai.
Their vegan selection is impressive, compared to other Indian restaurants, which tend to have good lacto-veg menus.
This is a must-visit restaurant in Sunnyside.

This place is actually insane. Been here three times - it never dissapoints. My favorite Indian spot in NYC/Long Island area by far. Freshest ingredients, amazing value for amount of food they give, amazing preparation. Always so flavorful. Great service. Last time I went with my girlfriend we tried Chicken Caldin (Indo Portuguese Goa style) , and Mattar Paneer Curry. Got some Naan as well, (clearly made to order with insane flavor), as well as samosas and onion pakora. This place is irresistible. Also the staff is really kind and attentive. Come here for fantastic eats!
