After coming out of Thalia Spanish Theater, we crossed the street to Costa y Mar for dinner. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress who immediately sat us down after greeting us. Once we ordered our food, the food was delivered promptly and it was delicious!!! We ordered different entrees and they were all delicious and plentiful!!! It was my first time visiting Costa y Mar, and let me just say, it did not disappoint! I grew up eating guatita, and their version tasted just like a bite of my childhood. Every dish at our table (we were a group of seven) was absolutely perfect. We loved it so much that we came back the very next day for lunch. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to bring more friends to experience this delicious Ecuadorian gem.

Simply, wow – this place is SO GOOD. The ceviche is so fresh (our favorite repeat is the whitefish). Goat stew is fantastic, and the fruit juices are fresh and refreshing (they change fruits by the seasons and we had passion fruit then a soursop this time).
We speak no peruvian spanish, but we all understand and get their recommendations. Come with a big or small group!

Picked up from this neighborhood spot, got a combo for $52.50 that could have easily fed 4-5 people. Food was absolutely delicious and so well seasoned. Green sauce was spicy and yummy! Owner was so sweet and friendly and threw in a free cookie. Definitely recommend if you’re in the neighborhood :)

This is most definitely the most hearty mouth-watering Peruvian food I've had in NYC. The prices are unbeatable and the service is fantastic and makes you feel like home. You can even BYOD! If that doesn't do it, just go so you can support the humble woman who singlehandedly runs this place.
