We were in Queens and asked a friend who lived in area for dinner recommendations. We are super happy he did. This place is great. All 4 of us loved our dishes and service. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.

Italian food and atmosphere that's authentic to the same experience you'd get in Italy. REAL Italian, not Vinny from Brooklyn Italian (no offense to Vinny). The pasta is cooked perfectly al dente and even the layout of the place is very similar to a restaurant in Italy that the locals would eat at outside the tourist areas. Also amazing service. 10/10 Perfetto.

We came here on a Wednesday afternoon for some salads, the service was wonderful. We had the sweetest waitress who took really good care of us. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

Heard about this place from my partner, so we decided to check it out since we was gonna be in the area! Had a delicious meal that exceed my expectations! Started off with the sotto le stelle salad with fresh arugala, sun dried tomatos, and marinated artichokes. The add on chicken breast was surprisingly tender and thin so it was chewy and juicy. The fusilli al pesto was by far my favorite. The pesto was extremely herbacious and fragrant without being too oily. It was perfectly nutty and well-seasoned. The fusilli itself was al dente and swooped up all the pesto inside. Each bite made me want more! Also I very much enjoyed the funghi pappardelle! The mushrooms were very well seasoned and covered with a strong aromatic garlic/parmesan flavor. The pappardelle was also al dente. Felt like the mushroom to pasta ratio was excellent! For desserts, the tiramisu was a little sweeter than how I would have liked it. Cream was fresh but wish the espresso flavors were stronger. They had a pretty good Italian wine list. We got lambrusco for the table and the sweet bubbly profile went well with our dishes. There is a good amount of seating (although some of the tables were more length than width). The lighting was dim, creating a super cozy environment, perfect for a date, meet up, or family dinner! Staff were polite and attentive. I'm still thinking about their pasta!! 12/10 would go back!!

Oh my gosh, I love this place. The menus are creative and all the pasta is fresh. Even when the place is busy, the staff keeps their eyes peeled and it's easy to get their attention.I'm really fond of the Fagottini Alla Valerio. The pear is still crisp, and the little purses are delectable. The lasagna Bolognese is great even in the second day (yes, I take it home).I don't come here often enough, and this review is to remind me to go every time I crave a little pasta in my diet.

Okay so I have a bone to pick with you all. You have ruined all other lasagna for me because your lasagna is so good. I think about it weekly. I miss it. I need it. But no joke- this place is amazing I’d go every night if I could.

Cacio e Pepe all day! Well, I think it's a specific night of the week but if it's not Cacio e Pepe day, there is no shortage of equally amazing choices. Authentic italian food - love Sotto le Stella too. GOOD STUFF & my fav place to eat out in Sunnyside.

This is one of our favorite authentic Italian restaurants to go to. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our backyard. The restaurant owner Valerio is very personable and the entire staff as well. He always gives us an additional dessert or drink whenever he sees us. Their pomodoro is one of my favorites! The perfect balance of sweet and salty. The garlic and basil flavor is present but not overwhelming - subtle and perfect If you come here, the pesto is a MUST. Very basil-y, not too cheesy or oily. The restaurant is dimly lit with a decent amount of seating inside. Usually don't have to make a resy unless you are coming with a larger group or weekend dinner time. The owner has also opened a few other restaurants. 1. Sotto le stelle - mainly pizza 2. Arcobaleno - gelato 3. Sotto la Luna - upscale dining Must visit.
