About The Lake House at Sylvan Beach
Recent Reviews
Yelp listed this spot as dog-friendly, but unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to sit outside with our pup. We ended up going elsewhere — The Crazy Clam who welcomed us (and our pup!) with open arms and served up great food and drinks. It was disappointing not being allowed into the Lake House, though, because so many people travel with their dogs (they’re family too!), and by not allowing them, the restaurant is really limiting its customer base. 🤷🏼♀️
We went on a Tuesday for lunch. Loved the stylish eating area and decor. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The Fish Fry was delicious! 😋
Stephanie was a great and super fun server. We had a great time with friends celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary! Highly recommend… ask for Stephanie!!

The Lake House at Sylvan Beach is a fun and relaxing spot with excellent food and beautiful views of Oneida Lake. It remains a hidden gem for a summer getaway, featuring a restaurant connected to a small casino. The place is clean, with self-service beverage stations, bar areas, and a delightful tiki bar outside. Live music on weekends enhances the atmosphere, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Guests often prefer dining outside on the patio, where the food arrives hot and salads are served in generous portions.
The restaurant is renowned for its delicious meals, including the fish fry with sweet potato fries, the bang bang shrimp, and the shrimp rice bowl with jalapeno, which some diners find spicy and satisfying. The service is friendly and efficient, with staff available to take photos for special occasions. Drinks are notably large, with some guests opting for go cups for later enjoyment. The nautical decor creates a charming setting, and the restaurant is accommodating to guests' table preferences and schedule changes. Despite occasional slow service, it remains a favorite spot for a scenic day trip to enjoy tasty meals and good company. Recent reviews highlight the fantastic cocktails, such as the “Dressed to Empress” and the raspberry lemon drop martini, which guests describe as must-haves. Overall, The Lake House continues to impress visitors with its food, drinks, and vibrant atmosphere.
