When not in China or Japan - there’s Golden Temple. This is our local go-to place for lunch, dinner or take out. They have a very nice menu, Chinese tea, and mixed drinks/ wine/ beer are always on point. It suits us and a lot of other customers because thry offer both cuisines and can accommodate gluten free. The food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious (We enjoy the sushi, soups, fried & plain rice, chicken with broccoli, beef dishes, steak dishes, shrimp, Singapore mei fun.). The staff are always kind and welcoming, and the restaurant is popular with everyone. Thanks for the fantastic food and service Golden Temple!!

We ordered a mix of Japanese and Chinese food. The Chinese food was generally ok. Good egg foo young, ok fried rice. Their Japanese food was not that good and some of it was bad. One of the fish tasted a bit moldy and the ginger that came with it was “off”.

Very disappointing. I ordered delivery which is usually amazing from Golden Temple. However, my order arrived with BEEF (I am a vegetarian and ordered broccoli, string beans and pea pods with garlic sauce). They insisted I ordered beef and they argued with me. After going back and forth, they agreed to deliver what I had ORIGINALLY ordered. They requested that I give the delivery driver back the incorrect order (who is going to eat that?..they said they would give it to someone else...gross!). WTH! They charged me for beef, broccoli, string beans and pea pods and DID NOT REFUND any money. As much as I loved the food in the past, I will not be returning.

The food at Golden Temple has always been good, and we’ve enjoyed it in the past. However, on 1/20/25, my mom took my son there, and after a good meal, she paid and left a respectable tip, as usual. The waitress told her the tip wasn’t enough and demanded more. This was incredibly disrespectful and disappointing. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, no matter how good the food is. Very disappointed.

Golden Temple is not exclusively Chinese; it encompasses a variety of dishes from different Asian traditions, all prepared with fresh ingredients and diverse flavors. This makes it a versatile spot for those who enjoy exploring different tastes. However, I was specifically looking for authentic Chinese cuisine that embodies traditional cultural flavors, such as Sichuan or Taiwanese style. While it didn’t fully meet my expectations in that regard, I still enjoyed the wonton soup, the Mu Shu (first on the lunch special menu I posted), and the broccoli root kimchi.

First time trying out this restaurant. Food and soups had a burnt smell. Called the place with the concern and was told that nothing is wrong with their food. Will not be going there again nor would recommend this place to anyone. Not worth getting food poisoning and unsure if restaurant is following rules.
