Love the decor, five stars for it. But yikes, what’s up with the super salty, sugar laden, cornstarch dishes? I literally felt my bp spike after eating. I’m sad to say that is the norm and as an american, going out to eat here is literally killing us. After returning from Europe, my tastebuds have been assaulted by high salt & high sugar meals. Unfortunately it will become the norm and soon my tastebuds will acclimate to it.

A fine Asian/Chinese fusion restaurant with an extensive menu of old favorites and new dishes, all done extremely well. I've visited here several times with friends and family, and I've never been disappointed with the food or service.

I travel the entire lower New York region as a home office representative and as such over many years (5 decades to be exact), I have dined (primarily for lunch) at select restaurants that I have become familiar with as being exceptional. Master Chef is one I have visited several times believing that I must be mistaken due to the poor quality of a place that is so elaborate in its decor and pricing, the food must somehow be far better than that which I was served each time over the years, so I returned again yesterday, only to find that the food is of very poor quality. To be exact, the hot and sour soup, though served in a quaint artistic bowl was full of food starch to make it thick and tasteless, the shrimp dumplings were full of filler with a tiny "fish bait" sized shrimp (other more authentic Chinese restaurants prepare the dumpling with large pieces of shrimp and little or no filler), the Sweet and Sour Chicken consisted of slivers of deep fried white meat chicken typically used in Chow Mein dishes, better restaurants serve large chunks of white meat, the sauce itself was typical but unremarkable. I will not be returning to this Chinese Palace, though impressively decorated, falls far short when it comes to Americanized Chinese fare, better Chinese restaurants are in Brooklyn for half the price and there is one impressive Chinese restaurant on 107 in Hicksville nearby, where I will be visiting today, I love Asian Food!

Excellent experience. Food was hot and fresh and delicious, some of the best Chinese food I’ve had outside of Hong Kong.

Lunch delivery review only. We've ordered from here a couple times or so and each time they forget something. Our designated lunch orderer guy always calls them back to say 'you forgot this...' or 'you forgot that...' Funny enough they do remember to give us the thing they forgot during the previous order and then comically they forget something else in the recent order (scratches head). I've surmised that this is just apart of their business plan. Anyway, lunch specials are plentiful...Soup, Protein, Rice plus a limited Dim Sum choice. All the proteins I've selected, be it a Chicken or Tofu seemed to share the same sauce. Mapo Tofu isn't supposed to taste like Orange Chicken...right? Sadly, yet happily the best part of my lunches have been their house fried Wonton Strips and Spring Rolls (Dim Sum choice). Both are always thin and have a crisp texture. Not a fan of the proteins. Five stars for Soup, Fried Wonton Strips and Spring Rolls, when they come in the order.

My son went Sunday night with his girlfriend. They arrived at 8:10 (online says they are open until 9). Upon walking in a very rude gentleman approached then and said they were closed.

Our experience at MasterChef was horrible. Before we placed our order we noticed that one of our plates had left over gooey food still on it. When our ramen came it wasn't hot it was merely warm as if it was microwaved. The food that we ordered wasn't what the picture showed in the menu, and the server didn't even apologize for this mess. I do not recommend coming here if you have even standard expectations for a restaurant.

Food was delicious. Everything we got was very good and our party of 11 enjoyed everything. General tsaos chicken, egg rolls, wonton soup, soup dumplings, and so much more all very good.

My go to spot in the area! Order pickup or sit down if you want ! I take out every week from here these guys never let me down yet! Orange chicken , soup dumplings, lo mein are my go to orders from here but everything is good! Staff always willing to help too. Does get busy so bare with them if it’s a busy day.

Had the first meal when back in Long Island, NY, and it was quite an experience! The Cantonese waiter was exceptionally warm and polite, contributing to a comfortable and elegant dining atmosphere. However, the dishes tended to be on the sweeter side, but overall, it was a decent experience. Convenient parking was definitely a plus! Will be back!

We've passed this place often and decided to finally give it a try. It's very nicely decorated and gives off an authentic Chinese ambiance. The servers and bus boys are all very nice and attentive. The food we ordered was all delicious. Highly recommend trying their soup dumplings. I've searched for good ones around New York and was almost about to give up until I found these. We also got hot and sour soups which were great. All their meat dishes tasted really fresh and flavorful. We ordered sesame chicken, general tsos, and the shredded beef with chiles. Definitely a good Chinese restaurant to have in the rotation.

Food is overpriced and tasted average, nothing special. The honey walnut shrimp was $30. That is pricy and it tasted mid. The service is great and atmosphere and decor is good.

Came to Masterchef the other day to pickup lunch for work and was not impressed with the order, the service, or the quality of the food. The restaurant itself is beautiful to look at outside and in, but everything else is pretty lacking. I got the lunch special of Spicy Tuna and Salmon rolls for $13, and she forgot to pack my soup. I call to ask for the soup and she says "I owe you one when you come back" and hangs up. Didn'f even get my name. Took a long time to make too, and the other dish I tried was too spicy for my co-worker, who got way more for her lunch special. The place seems overpriced, underwhelming, and will not try again. 2 stars, 1 for the look of the place and 1 for the quality of the food.
