Mongo's Coffee Roastery & Lounge

It’s one of my favorite places to get work done. Incredibly friendly staff and great coffee.

Only reason for the 2 stars is because of the food options. Only one vegan option. I got the avocado toast which was nothing special so would love to see expansion of cruelty-free options on the menu so I can spend the day working there while having the option for foods that don’t support these cruel industries. Many places now are shifting towards nutritious and tasty food options without animal products so I would love to see this at one of my favorite coffee/work spots!

And I know many people who look for this but don’t always voice it or choose not to go to places that don’t have these food options so I think it would be great to add.

Happy to provide suggestions on simple nutritious vegan food options that can easily be added. Have done this for other establishments and it’s been well-received.

Recommended dishes: Avocado Toast with Tomato

It’s a great space to sit and do work. However, we were disappointed that the $12 avocado toast with an egg was so bland. The bread was fantastic but it was just the bread with avocado and salt and pepper. There was a sad portion of arugula and one singular cherry tomato cut in half on the side… huh? Normally places with $12 avocado at least add red pepper flakes or honey? anything… The egg on top was ok.
Coffee- Also disappointing… very bitter, maybe wasn’t dialed in right? The oat milk was a thin watery consistency, maybe planet oat brand? I don’t know, overall it was … ok… Just disappointing considering the big beautiful space and the emphasis on good food and coffee.
We spent $51 for two coffees and two bland avocado toasts.

I needed a place to grab a coffee while I waited for an appointment. This was such a wonderful find. The coffee and bagel were delicious, plenty of room to sit, and the music was great. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back!

Holy mackerel! Mitch the owner has done it again, except at a whole new level! His on-site, FRESH roasted coffee, on-site handmade bakery goods and gluten free options are incredible!

Honestly cute place. Coffee is usually very good no matter the choice. Good food options. The owner is very nice. I over heard him speaking to customers. The problem is that the baristas and cashiers are a real hit or miss. Some are lovely. Some are just super unpleasant, bordering miserable, and act like they are doing the customer a favor. I am sure many customers can be rude. But if I say good morning, maybe say it back. If I say thank you then say you’re welcome. And if I ask one question, it really should be okay. ?.
