Everything was excellent. The food was excellent, our waitress was attentive and the restaurant itself had good ambiance and was relatively quiet given its large size. For appetizers we had the baked clams, gnocchi and fried calamari, each of which were great, particularly the gnocchi and baked clams, which were perfectly prepared. Our entree’s included the branzino, a pasta dish and a pork chop. It was a Berkshire pork chop and probably the best I’ve ever had, or at least as good as any I’ve had. It was tender, cooked perfectly (medium with a touch of pink) and delicious. We will definitely take the hour drive again to visit this restaurant.

Eddie Z here again.stopped here this week with a friend for a few drinks and especially the food. My friend had the veal that took up his entire plate and I had the salmon.both our meals were outstanding as usual as we have been coming here for 39 plus years. The attention paid to detail never wavers so I guess that’s why they are always busy. Great friendly staff and superb service

My husband and I had dinner at Cafe Testarossa recently. We were given delicious bread and a complimentary appetizer snack (bruschetta) while we waited for our ordered appetizer of crabmeat/shrimp cakes served with a sweet corn salsa. Our entrees were (1) a branzino filet pan seared with sweet corn, haricot vert, and roasted carrots, and (2) shrimp served with sun dried tomatoes, cracked spinach, garlic, demon & crispy onions. Both were delicious and served very hot and fresh out of the kitchen. For dessert, we shared an apple turnover with ice cream; it was made on the premises and very fresh. I was so impressed by the lovely and efficient waiter (Guiseppe?) and the entire team at Cafe Testarossa. The staff worked so quickly and displayed incredible teamwork. We will most certainly be back! Highly recommended!

Long Island has lots of Italian restaurants, but they all have basically the same menu. Testarossa is different, and it's fabulous. The mussels in pesto broth (daily special) were outstanding - and I'm very tough to please on mussels, they need to be super fresh for me to like them. The almond crusted chicken breast stuffed with artichoke hearts, spinach & asiago cheese served with sweet potato puree in a wild berry brandy seemed like a risk when we ordered it, but it too was fantastic. The rigatoni with veal meat and sausage bolognese was more traditional, but the veal made it extra tasty. The limoncello spritzer was not as sweet as I was expecting.

We felt well cared for dining at Testarossa. Tables are spaced apart and servers are masked. From the crusty bread to the really hot espresso, our meal was a pleasure. Gnocchi is house made and tastes it. Faro salad was something I'd never had. Very nicely plated and delicious. Rack of lamb was perfect. Servers were very attentive but we did not feel at all rushed. One of the best restaurants in the area. Generous portions at fair prices.

meal was excellent. the worry was that the bartender lady was careless in monitoring the bar seating. there were groups of people gathering at bar with no face masks. groups of 4 to 5 gathered together recklessly. no social distancing. was there midweek. made me nervous. then many of these bar guests walked thru the bar and then restaurant and to the restroom with no masks on. beware!!!.very careless!!!

We ate here last night for the first time. They did a great job with the social distancing. Our Server Patty was excellent and very professional. She attended to us and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great we shared some appetizers. My son and I shared the Branzino and Lamb Chops both were excellent. All six of us were very happy with food. I highly recommend the establishment.

Only saw waiter to take our order and bring the check. He never came back to see if we’re enjoying our meal. The restaurant wasn’t busy!

I met a friend at the very busy bar tended by one very busy, overworked lady trying to take care of not only the bar but the restaurant at the same time which she managed but just barely. We ordered dinner while at the bar and it was brought out within a reasonable time. We ordered a very expensive veal dish which was done perfectly with enough left over to bring home for the next days dinner. Beware however that the bar is on the noisy side . We will return since we had a good time and no real complaints.

Upon entry you see that the restaurant is very pretty and welcoming. The food was excellent, however I only gave it four stars because the service was a bit spotty. For such a nice restaurant I expect better. A couple were sharing an appetizer and it took three requests before extra plates arrived at the table. It also took quite awhile to get an alcoholic drink refilled. They have valet parking but it is very easy to miss th3 entrance to their parking lot. This was my first visit and based on the excellent food I would return.

Great food, excellent service. They also offer prix fix if you get there by 5:30 pm. Very classy atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Haven't been to this restaurant in more than 10 years. Not for any particular reason. Met friends here for dinner. Started with happy hour. $8.00 cocktails and they were great. They have a very nice bar bite menu as well that we didn't have, but their bread sticks at the bar should not be missed. Dinner was excellent. Halibut special was terrific. Portions were generous. I had an almond crusted chicken dish stuffed with spinach and asiago and it was also great. We will definitely be back...

Name may have changed. Pretty good. Owners nice. Nice little place serving people going through the building.
