Honestly an amazing restaurant with such a family feel! We have been coming here consistently over the past two years and have never been disappointed with everything we have tried.

Cute little Korean restaurant in Long Island. Unfortunately they close early but I can understand why being a mom and pop shop. It's pretty rare to find Asian food here so I was extremely surprised. Prices are a tad on the higher end but worth it for the distance and quality. I chose this restaurant for their seafood pancake and decided to order Galbi. They didn't poke holes on the top of the container for the pancake so it was soggy by the time we brought it back home (25mins). No biggy though - I put it on the wok for a few mins and it became crispy! The pancake is filled with seafood. Perfect ratio of flour to seafood. This hit the spot for my seafood pancake craving. Sauce came on the side. The galbi was very flavorful and fell off the bone. No complaints here. Great portion size for one. The free banchans that came with 2 rice servings - see pics. This I was not expecting. They were so generous when I barely ordered much! Overall, minus the pancake packaging, everything else was fab. Food was great. They were spot on for their cook time. Friendly. No complaints.

It's a small family owned. Clean table, clean plates, nothing super fancy. It's like eating at home. Service was excellent and the food was so filling.

Amazing food, great service and an authentic feel. The seafood pancake is a must order if you've had it before and especially if you've never tried it. We had the Rice cakes, LA Galbi, and Tonkotsu and there was nothing left to take home. If you're looking for an authentic Korean dinner and don't want to travel all the way into the city or Queens, you absolutely can't go wrong with this great restaurant.

The lady server was rude when we asked question to clarify the food we ordered, we ordered a beef soup with rice and it only comes with 4 small pieces of beef, then she said it is a vegetable soup , the bimbimbap was not delicious but mainly the attitude of the server was

Food was perfect, especially the tteokkbukki (or dduk bokki), and the staff was very nice and sociable. The prices were similar to other Korean restaurants I’ve been to.

Surasang is serving up Korean cuisine in Syosset. The restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall off Jericho Turnpike.Standard Korean appetizers were served with our meal. We order the 5pc fried chicken, kimchi pancake, and dol-sot bibimbap. I really like the pancake and bibimpab. The flavors were nice! I think the portion sizes could have been a smidge bigger considering their $18 and $19 price tags. I thought the fried chicken was a bit of a let down. Taste was good, but it didn't feel very special.Overall vibe is homey and the staff were friendly.

It’s a small family operation. Clean table , clean plates, northing super amazing . It’s like eating at home . I don’t know what is authentic Korean. Not sure if Korean food is a bit on the salty side. But , the dishes we ordered was a bit too salty, like from instant food packages. Seafood pancake was good. Full of squids: soft in side and the bottom is crispy .

The owner takes pride is keeping the place clean - I've been going there since before this owner and the couple who runs it with their son at the register is dedicated to providing authentic dishes in clean, friendly environment. I've tried all Korean places on LI, and this is my preferred place.I've read some sketchy reviews and chuckle at how diners used to Americanized Korean food down rate this place. Jjajangmyen isn't supposed to be sweet (used to kid's menu?) and gochujang isn't too cheap and runny - it's needed texture to make it easier for mixing bibimbop. As for diners who commented on rudeness, they are Koreans, and their mannerism may be not very American but give it another chance, they are very accommodating, tho they may not be very verbal (ESL).I'm from JeonJu - epicenter of Korean cuisine touting clean taste, fit for king's table (surasang). My moms cooking is the best and people have told her for decades to make a restaurant- this place certainly has that JeonJu taste, though I'm not sure where they are from.Vegetarian options: Lots of dishes without meat. And also ask them to skaccommodate in the dish, and they can accomodate.Dietary restrictions: Just let them know before you order, they will accommodateParking: Parking in front, but if that's full (rarely) go towards side/back of the strip mallKid-friendliness: Family oriented- kids are welcome, though please have your kids behave! I've eaten there when kids are loud and boisterous and that's no fun

We ordered a few dishes from there. It suppose to come with meat. They gave us very little meat. (Barely any meat at all). The rice looks like it was cooked a few days. The seafood looks like frozen seafood (not fresh). I came home and had diarrhea! The food is either not clean or too old. We will never come back again!

This Place is fantastic! Went here with my family for the first time several weeks ago and what a treat. The restaurant itself is very simple-Not much happening in the way of ambiance, but the food is amazing. We shared a seafood Hot Pot and pork rib BBQ and OH BOY!!! From the banchan to the Charm Soju everything was delightful. Can't wait to go back.

Stay away from the Budae jjigae because the flavor was really bad and was so sour. The kimchi they used are too old that's why it made the whole dish so sour. Budae jjigae should have ramen but they didn't come with it and it didn't have rice cake or cheese in it. So disappointed. Should not claim that they are authentic if they can't serve this basic dish.
