Went in on a cold snowy day to slurp on some hot ramen. I asked for their most popular ramen and the person helping suggested their tonkotsu Ramen. I went with the same and got the ramen in like 5 minutes, extra hot as I had requested. It was a basic ramen with 2 seaweed papers, some daikon radish, ginger, semi boiled egg and exactly 2 pieces of chaushu pork. The broth was great, loved it, could have just had a bowl full of broth. I am used to the pork being soft and falling apart, this one was a little tough and the ramen noodles were usual. It was a very basic ramen and it filled me up. Sipping broth were the moments that I enjoyed.

Small section of Japanese market in rear. Great for quick Ramen fix! Very limited menu. Delivery in rear disturbs dining as cartons coming in take up space on tables. Very nice staff...used to frequent their restaurant in Little Neck which was more pleasant to dine in and had a larger menu including sushi.

Can't recommend enough. I live in Queens where there's no shortage of delicious food, but always look forward to lunch here. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere warm and comfortable. Try their curry or sweet and sour cold noodles!

This ramen place is located inside the Hanamaru Japanese grocery store. We really like the ramen here. The spicy ramen were full of flavor. Service was good. Staff were polite. Worth stopping by if you live or happen to be around the neighborhood.

This place has been a classic of mine ever since I found it for the first time. The food is great and the service is amazing. They’re very fast with orders and you can taste the effort they put into it.What made me write this review is how dedicated an employee was. I had just purchased some groceries and the cashier of the market area helped me place an order at Teinei Ya. I had finished my purchase at 11:00 and they’re already willing to serve me even though I wanted to give them 15 minutes extra to prepare. They’ve also remodeled a shop next door to be a Japanese alcohol store so make sure you stop by there. All in all, 5 stars is all I can give, though I wish I could give more.

Based on the reviews I really wanted to like this place. In fact, I ordered the original and it was very tasty. My friend ordered the spicy chicken ramen and he only ate a little bit. He was expecting the chicken to be recognizable. Instead it looked like pressed cutlet-like chicken. Also, the restaurant is in the back of a small store. And the seating area is bench style, so you may be eating with another family. If you want authenticity this is it. Lastly, staff was very friendly and the food came out promptly

Was their original ramen the very best I've ever had? Maybe not, but it came pretty close and I'd be happy to go back for it. Firstly, the fact that this is a family owned business earns them a bonus point from me. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food came out without delay. The vibe? We were eating ramen surrounded by Japanese groceries, so the vibe couldn't have been better. But the star was the ramen, where everything hit the mark for me. The pork and chicken bone broth was perfect in thickness and seasoning, the egg had been perfectly soft boiled, the pickled ginger had a kick to it but all in all added extra interest, and the pork belly was thicker and had a more 'grilled' flavour to it than I'm used to. And I love that they gave two, instead of the usual one, seaweed because I like tearing it into smaller pieces for each bite. We'll be back for sure. The only question is when.

Pretty average ramen. Nothing stands out. The broth is a bit watered down and the egg could use more seasoning. The food came out pretty quick though.

A solid bowl of ramen for a good price

Great lil spot that has great Japanese ramen and udon. They also have a decent list of appetizers and other hot food. My go-to if I'm in the mood for Japanese cuisine.

Major hole in the wall!!! The husband and I came across this place after searching for nearby RAMEN on Yelp Food wise, we give it a 5. However, we minus .5 for the environment, which is not the best atmosphere for dine-in, but bearable. Limited space for dine-in-There are a few tables and chairs and a row of stool tables. There is outdoor seating available, but it's currently wintertime. This is like a fast food ramen place, except the ramen quality is very, very, very good! Let's dive right into their RAMEN! The husband and I both ordered the Teinei (Original) $16 - Broth is not too salty! Noodle texture is just right Love the runny egg! Just a tad bit oily because you can see the oil floating on top of the soup. BUT the husband and I didn't really mind it because the overall taste won us over!In terms of the Appetizers, Takoyaki and Pork Bun, we ordered, they were both delicious!!! You bet we will definitely be back the next time we need a good ramen fix!

Had takeout from here today and tried the tonkatsu ramen and the pork bao buns. The presentation was good and everything was fresh and delicious.
