I like coming here. It was nice to see a non-chain bagel shop opened. The Food is tasty the shop appears clean. Prices and bagel style are similar to bruggers bagels. This is no Long Island bagel (sorry folks) but it’s pretty good for Syracuse (probably top 3 in the area for sure). Service does seem scattered, maybe a bit slow and or disorganized. I think it’s the way they lay things out in the shop. Employees are constantly running around to give you half and half. I find this annoying and I’m not the one running Around! I would hate to wear those shoes. This seems pretty fixable issue with a counter top cooler (this is what Stewart’s shop and many gas stations do). You serve your own creamer anyway. Atmosphere is pretty typical for a bagel shop. In store Traffic flow is often confusing because people are often waiting with the same people on line. Again, annoying but not a deal breaker.

Nothing special or enticing to make us even consider going back. I could make the bagel sandwiches with ease at home and there’s really no diversity in the food. All pretty plain Jane stuff. Add some spice and better options. Also the woman taking orders on the phone is rather rude and pushy. There wasn’t even a line when we got there so I don’t understand her rushing me. In person customer service was also rather unsettling. We would recommend Bruegger’s or water street bagel. Better customer service and better bagels.

I entered into the bagel shop to a very warm greeting, and received wonderful service from the two women behind the counter. These are definitely New York City bagels, though they are smaller in size than what I am used to from New York City. They have a slight sweetness to them and a moist interior. I ordered a dozen bagels, coffee, and a bagel sandwich. The sandwich was the special of the day and freshly made. It was perfect. The coffee is provided by Recess and is wonderful. The bagel company, locally sources most of their ingredients. The shop is clean, and though small, has several tables. Thanks to my Yelp family for the recommendation.

Was running errands in east Syracuse when I decided to get breakfast. Found this place and figured I would give it a shot. Place is small but there are some tables and chairs. The people working were very nice and efficient. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel and then I got 2 onion, 2 garlic, and 2 plain bagels to go with veggie cream cheese. I really appreciated that the girl taking my order asked if it was okay for all the bagels to go in the same bag as some bagels can simple not go in the same bag. Starting with the sandwich. It was good but the bacon was pretty fatty and not crispy which I know is a preference thing but I had to take it off. As far as the bagels they have been good so far but the veggie cream cheese takes like mayo. I love veggie cream cheese and have had it a lot of places but this one was just not good. Will def go back and give some other cream cheeses a try.

I looked this place up online before moving to Syracuse, and I decided to make it my morning coffee spot. Coffee club membership is the best deal around if you drink a daily coffee. I love the bagels: they are the perfect texture and they freeze well. The sandwiches are great and the staff is friendly. You need to expect a long wait on the weekends.

The breakfast sandwich was delicious. Egg, cheddar and bacon on an everything bagel. Thursday they have a bagel bundle so I took advantage of that. Bakers dozen of bagels and 2 cream cheeses for 20-something bucks.

Loved the bagels and the service. While the shop itself may not be the most inviting, the taste of that crisp toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese made the experience. Because it's a smaller operation, you should prepare to wait a little while, but the finished product is worth it. Would definitely recommend Dewitt Bagel over their more watery competitor.

Bagels are good with a good variety too, they use and support local businesses. Friendly staff and convenient to downtown DeWitt!
