I frequent this Panera and I am just bystander in the situation. I watched the manager, explain to an elderly man as to why he cannot put through in order for his employees. He said They are far too busy to put the order through let alone label the names. Made me sad.
I'm only doing a review because I ordered something new on their menu. The Ciabatta Cheesesteak.I modified the order to change provolone for American cheese. I know, I know, Tommy, American cheese is so pedestrian. I don't care. Provolone can overpower, and I wanted to get a good sense of the overall flavor profile. I also nixed the peppers. I absolutely LOVE Panera. You can try something new every time you go, or stick with your favorite. I personally recommend the strawberry salad they have in the summer. It can get a bit pricey though.
