I bought a can of Ginger Ale Blackberry and a beef stew with fried rice for $17.00. The portion was adequate; however, I was expecting eye poping flavors, thick sauce, and a rich aroma from the Congo. Instead, I got Sazon beef with tons of salt. Horrible. This is a wannabe Dominican chicken spot.
The restaurant is cozy and the food is amazing. I really loved the moringa tea while I waited for my food and even afterwards. The owner is very passionate and knowledgeable towards moringa and is so nice. Will definitely go again.

Ehh it was $24 for the fufu and chicken egusi, I wouldnβt have minded but it lacked flavor.

Went to Taste of Africa for first time with two friends. Immediately greeted by owner. After discussing foods we were presented with several samples to taste. African tastes are much more tolerant of spices than Americans, and food was kept to a less spicy degree. Good size portions.
New tastes. Reasonable prices.
Certainly not a fancy place but welcoming, satisfying and worth a try.

The foods were really good. They did take some time to get the food out but everything was freshly made. We did the combo one entree+ one side. The portions were good. You can easily split the dishes. The people were very welcoming

Tried fufu with ox tail for the first time last week and was hooked! So filling and flavorful and now itβs all I want. I would like to tried fufu with other soups they have too, it all sounds and smells so good.
I got some really scrumptious fish, spinach, egusi soup and fufu. They have a wholesome selection of West African food and while the egusi was different it most certainly was delicious. The atmosphere is really what you make of it, I had the company of a good friend so we had a good time.
Amazing! π€© super friendly staff, my husband is in love with the food .

Fish was fresh and well seasoned. Small staff so there was a bit of a wait. But very delicious and down home no-frills place.
