Fred’s is the perfect little neighborhood stop — cozy, friendly, and full of that old-school charm. The donuts are fresh, fluffy, and not overly sweet, with great variety (the classic glazed is a must-try). The coffee is strong, smooth, and pairs perfectly with the pastries. Staff are warm and welcoming, making the experience even better.
We always come here when we do upstate trips. And this place is always a tradition to get the doughnuts. Today we didn’t know they closed at 3, no more doughnuts and the women who served us was very rude and annoyed when we just ask about doughnuts. We didn’t feel welcomed like we always do when coming here. It made us re think about this place. Disappointed.
Visited Fred's 2x on our trip because the first time the donuts were awesome! On Saturday, 7/12, they were so greasy that they were inedible. We ordered six ($13.50) at the drive-in window. The workers were friendly. I don't know who cooked the donuts, but grease filled my mouth when I bite the donut. I tried another one, and it was the same.
