“Phenomenal food. Everything was delicious but I highly recommend the dips, particularly the whipped feta. Their steak & potatoes were perfectly cooked. Sit outside by the fire & bring your pups!”

“Totally blown away by how amazing the coffee and donuts are here in such an underdeveloped town. I visited here for the first time from nyc and this place even beats the coffee/donuts there. Most importantly it was super cheap. The gentleman who served me was also very friendly.”

“Only GREAT things to say about this establishment. Server was exceptional, energetic, and knew what she was talking about. All modifications to menu items were accommodated. Best of all - The live band on Saturday night was a blast to listen to and hang out by. We will be coming here every time for our annual ski trip.”

“Rating based on dinner only. So far this is the best meal I’ve had on the mountain. We started with the mussels, had a Caesar salad and the salmon as our main. The appetizer and salad were both larger than expected. Salmon was cooked perfectly. The dining room was so cozy next to the fireplace. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.”
“I don't even know why you're reading this right now, ignore all other reviews, ignore all other food options. Go get some Deli Sandwiches or Various Salad(s) or home made baked goods or delicious speciality drinks. They close at 2 so get it in early. They're also closed Sunday and Monday. That's why you ignore everything else because if they're open and you need somewhere to eat: now you don't. Go get a sandwich or slaw/salad now.Now to explain my most common orders (pictures added below) are the Dirty Canadian & Dirty American. Order their American or Canadian, whichever you prefer. And add bacon to it. Then you also order a separate 1/4lb of roast beef and I personally like to order a small seafood or coleslaw. Then get either mesquite BBQ chips (for Canadian) or Salt&Pepper/Salt&Vinegar chips(for American). I'm a big believer in ice tea for a side or Arnold Palmer. Now for the assembly of the sandwich, you crush up your chips. Lay them down inside the roast beef and roll it up and place inside the sandwich. You can add hot sauce if you want now.The best part about all of this? It's just about $20 end of the day and you get enough food to eat a light dinner and pass out. I love eating here after a day of shredding.”

“Excellent smash burgers, Falafel sandwiches, and ice cream. One friend and I had big daddys, my vegetarian friend had the Falafel sandwich. The big daddy had a nice quantity of blue cheese and sautéed onions, a delicious mess. The Falafel was reportedly very good also. Tater tots were perfectly crisp. They have quality ice cream for a nice finish for your meal. Also, it's good to support the few locally owned businesses that exist in and near Vail owned resorts”

“The department of health stands in violation of their own code by keeping her closed. My recommendation is to have them come in and spect her kitchen tell her what to fix and then come back a week later to find it fixed and I'll give her another list of items to fix and at that point call the sheriff and have the department of health official arrested for violation of her constitutional right to earn a living.”

“We stopped by this cool little cafe in Cairo on our way back home to NYC after a quick weekend in Windham. The people who work there are so warm and friendly. We ended up getting an iced latte and some of their delicious pastries, the chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a pack of their salted chocolate chip cookies. They were kind enough to include a small madeleine on top of my latte. Everything tasted so good, it’s a shame they’re so far away. Definitely worth a stop if you’re ever in that area! :-)”

“What a vibe. We came in the winter and felt soooo cozy! The food, cocktails and wine were excellent! I am so pleased with our meal.Service is relaxed, no kids menu.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, current menu has a real adult focus. However, there was lots of things to look at and explore, so my kids had a good time.”

“I love this place! GREAT FOOD! Very nice people! Excellent selection of goods! Don’t skip Curry Night every Tuesday! This is the best small family-run convenience store in the Hudson Valley! They always have what I need, even organic milk! They have an ATM, hot coffee, homemade local ice cream, personal and home essentials. There is a nice selection of drinks, coconut waters, V8, hydration drinks like the elusive and very popular ‘Prime’ and a ton of beer to choose from. Very recently I left my milk at the store but since I had just called the owner called me back to let me know that I left it there and that he let his staff know about it and that I could come pick it up when I wanted to. I really appreciated the effort since I completely forgot! The gesture was so kind! I like that they have a shelf of free books. The burger and fries are very good here. Otherwise I’ll get a turkey sandwich or something else on their menu like the mozzarella sticks (which are seasoned and they actually taste good). Their soup is some of the best soup I’ve ever had—it’s restaurant quality. I told the owner it tastes like restaurant quality soup and he said he has a friend chef that makes the soups. The first soup I tried was the roasted corn & chicken chowder and the second was a cream of mushroom. Both blew me away! Their baked good are from Deisings Bakery in Kingston and sometimes I will get a chocolate or cheese filled danish. Curry Night is my favorite occasion —You can feel the love in the food. Last time I had the Lamb Saag, Butternut Squash Bhaji, vegetable Pakora, and a Mango Lassi. I made a friend of mine try some and immediately they asked where I got it and they went visited for Curry Night. The flavors are spot on and the heat of the spices are perfect. In the summer they even make their own yogurt for the mango lassi (the owner said that it has to be warm enough for the yogurt to ferment properly). I covet the Bhaji which is usually a vegetable dish with cabbage or butternut squash cooked heart warming spices that give a nice heat. See you next Tuesday!”

“We found this little gem of a store on our way to the Hudson River Skywalk. This store (if you're from the Hagerstown/Hancock areas) is similar to The Blue Goose. There are several types of locally sourced hot sauces, honey, and maple syrup. There are also fresh made baked goods and sandwiches, and a seating area if you have time to dine in. In the back and throughout the store are some novelty items, toys, touristy keepsakes, etc. Everything is reasonably priced, and the staff were super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed this stop.”
“If you are Windham when this place is open you must go! No questions asked the best croissant of my life. So rich and delicate. Quiche is unreal and the coconut macrons are to die for”

“On a Saturday MaMa’s was the only restaurant that would take our order. There was a bit of a wait, but we were so grateful that they actually answered the phone and didn’t hang up on us like a few places in Tannersville. It is cash only and they offer coke products in bottles. We ordered wings and a white pizza with broccoli. The ricotta was a little weird in texture(not sure how else to describe it but all 5 of us noticed it). overall it was a good pizza and we were starving by the time we picked it up. if you’re having trouble getting service elsewhere on a busy night call MaMa’s and they will take care of you.”

“I placed a large catering order for a party and the guy behind the counter was very helpful as well as polite. I wanted an item that wasn’t on the catering menu yet they still did it for me. The food was excellent especially their tortellini in cream sauce with prosciutto and garlic knots. Everyone at the party loved the food and wanted to know where it came from. Very satisfied with Mateo’s! They’ll continue to get my regular business as well as all parties.”

“I have a LOT to say about my stay here at Crystal Brook Mountain Brauhaus Resort. I came here for a solo weekend getaway to explore the Catskills and I would absolutely return here every time. When I checked in with Wendy, I could tell my stay would be very welcoming. She was very friendly and informative as to what the resort offers and she even gave me suggestions for nearby hiking trails. The lounge area is neatly designed, with a piano and photos littered all over the walls. It almost feels as if you're in someone's home. Very cozy. When I got to my room I was a little surprised with how small it was, albeit being exactly what I wanted. This may not suit everyone, so just be sure you understand what you're paying for. It's a bit antiquated with a nice charm and simplicity to it. I had no problems with the setup (especially considering how clean it was) other than having to drink the water from the faucet. Wendy assured me that it was clean and that's the way it is there, and it tastes fine, but I want to just put that out there. The wifi can also be a bit spotty, which personally I didn't care because I was there to get away from it all. But for those of you who absolutely need a strong internet connection, bear that in mind, especially since cellular service can be limited in certain spots out in the mountains. There's a pool nearby available for use, alongside the fantastic Mountain Brauhaus restaurant and some small trails only a walk's distance away. Breakfast is provided every morning from 8 to 10 and the food is cooked per order. You can get as much as you want and best believe I took advantage of that . The food was very tasty and had different offerings each morning to keep it interesting. The restaurant (not included) is the primary dinner offering. It's German styling is wonderful and I really liked that the staff also wear German outfits. I had gotten one of the German beers, their special which was a Rouladen, and a Plum Cake for dessert. The beer was crisp and refreshing. The Rouladen and the Plum Cake were FANTASTIC and I cleaned my plate fully. Portions were very fair. Overall I absolutely loved my stay at Crystal Brook Resort. The only thing that threw me off was the drinking water situation and the iffy WiFi, but even that can be overlooked considering the cost to stay here. I think everything was affordable and proved to be worth every penny. Definitely going to return here when I come back to the Catskills.”

“Soooo good! I stopped in and impulse bought a key lime pie bar and biscuit. Both were fresh and outstanding! The key lime pie in particular was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had LOTS. It’s a favorite. Craig the dude at the counter was also so nice and just cool.”
