Very cute interior and friendly service. The food wasn’t bad per se but was very mediocre, especially the cheese products which were the big draw. Beer cheese with the pretzel was quite good (albeit expensive), but the fondue cheese was subpar. The charcuterie/cheese boards were especially lacking given the price, I feel like I’ve made better boards with supplies from a Trader Joes. The entrees were all good and well portioned, although also a little pricy given the quality.

We've been coming here each fall for the past several years and while everything about this place should be 5 stars, I'm dinging them a star because the food, specifically the innards of the chicken pot pie, comes out either cool or room temperature. It was an issue last year, but I shrugged it off, but when I ordered it this year, I had the same problem. My wife's meal also came out not as hot as expected. Will we go back? Absolutely. If I could, I would only ding them a half star, but that's not an option.

Waited nearly 30 min just for tableware and 40+ min for food, while the table next to us (who came the same time) had already finished eating. A server even admitted our order “took way too long,” but besides a quick apology, nothing was done to fcompensate it.
Food was so normal even below the average, certainly not worth the wait. After finishing , we still left a $5 tip out of courtesy. But the server kept questioning us repeatedly, making the experience even more uncomfortable as if we owed them something. Definitely wouldn’t recommend—slow, disorganized, and unfriendly.

I'm not sure what all the buzz is about. I know a couple of people who live up that way and they love the place. I don't get it. It's a dirty. The service is horrible and the food is very mediocre.

Food was pretty good but the nachos with pulled pork were pretty standard. Everything else was excellent. Great selection of beer!

I've been going there for quite a few years. They're cheese selection. This is unbelievable. You will have to experience the spread of cheeses.
Very disapointing experience. This was my third visit to this establishment. The first two times were very enjoyable. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was just average but it was fresh, hot and served quickly. The general store area and the cheses are what brought me back yesterday. That and the quaint country store atmosphere with all the treats was the main draw. I live over an hour away and thought it would be a nice day trip to celebrate a friend's birthday. We ordered the meatloaf and the knish-wich with a side of fries and gravy. It took nearly a half an hour for our food to arrive after ordering. It wasn't busy at all. The knish-wich was cold and soggy. The fries, ordered well done, were also cold and the texture told me that they were pre-made and warmed up. They tasted old. The knish was also kind of a gray color inside. Yuck. Sent it back. The meatloaf was ok, wierd sweet flavor but edible enough. The mashed potatoes were gluey. This entree was also cold. I was a server in a very busy diner for over a decade so I may be more picky than the average customer but I have a deep understanding of all aspects of the business from the front end to the kitchen. The food was not fresh to begin with and then sat for at least 10 minutes before it was served and not under a heat lamp. I'm chalking it up to an off day. I may find my way here in the future if in the area to give it another chance but won't make a special effort.

My family and I stopped at this restaurant after our hike at Kaaterskill falls and the experience was excellent! We ordered the buffalo wings, Mac and cheese, jalapeño burger, and the all in burger and everything was delicious! The service was also superb thanks to Stacy and the other serving staff! We highly recommend and will for sure return!

Our server was awesome, I had the goat cheese burger and holy cow was it killer. Also, the cheese selection there was sick. Definitely worth a trip.

We went here after our hike to the Kaaterskill Falls and it was perfect after all that walking! We got the pulled pork nachos (w/o jalapeños) for an appetizer, then for entrees we got the shrimp scampi pasta and the pulled pork mac and cheese.
I loved the orecchiette shaped pasta they use for the mac, and the pulled pork really elevated it all. The shrimps were a good size and the sauce was simple yet tasty! Service was wonderful and our server was very attentive. We’ll be back again for sure.
