Apparently we totally lucked out with getting a res here on a Saturday and I’m so glad we did! The service and food were great! Our waiter was very knowledge able and didn’t rush us at all. We enjoyed the whole fried fish which was served with the most amazing braised green and the mushroom risotto. Would highly highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Overpriced, pretentious, small portions. Soups and pastas came out lukewarm. 10% “living wage fee” added to checks ($60 per person - for a meal with no drinks/no protein mains should be plenty to pay staff a living wage). Some dishes are decent and the ambience/service is just fine, but not worth it for me.
Is there a way to leave a 6 star review? WOW. I am so incredibly blown away with my experience at Tabla. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and I must say, we had a lovely time. The food was spectacular and the drinks were crafted to perfection. We got the papas bravas, cavatelli, & chicken and dumplings. All dishes were superb. Thank you Dave, Kiana, & Ben for providing excellent service! Will definitely be returning.

FYI, they call pizza "tomato pie" and they don't warn you if the dish is spicy.

Disappointed but not surprised based on other reviews. To start, our $16 cocktails were filled almost less than halfway full… even in NYC where we live they charge $17/$18 for a FULL cocktail. Not half. Mostly ice. We got the whipped feta and bread…. the bread is literally store bought bread alone-esque bread for $8 they give you 3 measly slices. Rip off. The whipped feta was good however but if you’re buying store bought bread.. give more slices. Cheap af. We ordered a Cesar salad which never came, in line with the lackluster service shared in other reviews. Ordered the Ribeye steak to share as our main and it was fine, not bad not good but we were hungry so we ate it all. Our waitress who started with us disappeared after our store bought bread and whipped feta was served and we were helped by another server/host??? Typically when there’s a shift end or someone is taking over it’s mentioned to the patron (as someone who has worked in hospitality) - I’m mainly upset because it was my boyfriends birthday dinner which I mentioned in the reservation and nothing was special about the dinner whatsoever. They’re charging Manhattan prices and not supplying the proper service. Would not recommend.

My husband and I split the bread and charcuterie, he got the cavatelli with lamb and I got the ribeye. Not my favorite cut of steak in general, and yet this was one of the best steaks I’ve had in recent memory. My husband devoured his dish and stole one of my potatoes to sop up the leftover sauce. This was our anniversary dinner and one of our first dates since the birth of our child, and what a worthy meal it was. The atmosphere was great, the service was awesome, and the food could not be beat. Get a reservation for this place if you’re staying nearby.

Went in for dinner with my friends. The portion they provided was fantastic. Pita bread with hummus dip and smoked salmon was quite delicious. Good beer and wine options. Atmosphere was very cozy. And friendly staffs

I recently visited Tabla and had a mixed experience. Let me start with the positives: the food was absolutely spectacular! Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, making it a real treat. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that were comfortable and pleasant. The drink selection was solid, with some great specials that were definitely a highlight of the evening.
However, the service was a real disappointment. We had three different wait staff attending to our table, which caused confusion and delays. The service was quite slow, and it was difficult to get refills on drinks or even water. Unfortunately, the mix-up in service also led to mistakes with our order, which only added to the frustration. It seemed like no one was really sure who was responsible for our table, and that lack of coordination really impacted the experience.
On top of that, the bathrooms were in terrible shape. They were ugly and poorly maintained, with the sink handle not working properly, and water wouldn't stop running. It’s a small detail, but it left a bad impression and made the experience feel a lot less polished.
Overall, while the food and drinks were excellent, the poor service left a lot to be desired. I'd consider going back for the food, but I hope they improve their service in the future.

I want to say I do NOT have the ability to really share all aspects of what I feel can be an OUTSTANDING place.
We entered and the place felt great! The bar tender was OUTSTANDING, he greeted us and was a true professional pleasure.
He's a 10 plus and the owner deserves to know this. We even told him so.
He seated us in front of the fire pit and took our drink order.
Our experience ended there.
We sat for 45 min and nobody came back. We even took our empty glasses and menu and moved to a table and nothing.
The waitress sat 2 other tables and looked at us and our empty glasses AND NOTHING.
We were hungry and excited about the menu but VERY frustrated over the service.
We sadly picked up our empty glasses and menus and went to the bar to pay and leave.
This should have been an indication something was wrong but not a care given.
We ended up at the restaurant next door.
I feel for the owner, hes invested a great deal to create a great place, location spot on, ambiance a 10!! Entering and greeting OUTSTANDING and it all fell flat after that.
Not even the opportunity to try your food.
I'm so sorry we did not get a chance to indulge in your culinary delights
We are local and would love to try again might I suggest you invest in a front end manager who is checking on what's going on.Your on top something great here I feel it. Make that investment its going to be worth it.
This is NOT a bashing review this is the knowledge you need so you understand whats happening and understanding why your not a packed house, you should be. Make changes in the front end your going slay it.
Thank you, can't wait to try it again.
Excellent food and service. The owner, Dave, is an extraordinary hospitality entrepreneur and kind human!

Would have been appreciated if the server mentioned the fish came with a salad since I also ordered a Caeser salad…2 large servings of radicchio and all very salty. The fried fish got soggy sitting on the plate next to the (second) salad. Our credit card was run thru the machine twice, which we noticed on our cellphone but the server didn’t bring that up until we questioned the extra charge. All in all, expensive but not great experience.
