2.5 stars but i gave it a 3. For NY its really not cutting it. Manhattan prices yet not delivering on that.Mediocre and super overpriced. Im used to bougie upscale bar food/tapas style but honestly the menu was subpar. It feels like the eclectic mix menu was confused with not much to offer. They also don’t have very good vegetarian options. They should really offer some warm appetizers in the middle of winter. A simple roasted beet salad, rosemary fries and charcuterie board would do. I saw multiple people blank staring at that menu trying to figure out what they could order other than pizza, pita bread or $65 steak. Seems like a better spot for drinks than for dinner with your kids after ski.The shrimp and squid was described to me as a ceviche type seafood salad, it was more like 3 tiny pieces of cooked room temp shrimp and 2 tiny scallops floating on 2 soggy pieces of bread with capers on top. (Sadly, this was actually my favorite dish)The caesar salad was described on the menu as a pretty normal sounding caesar, yet is 90% bitter radicchio. I love salad and bitter greens but it was not balanced at all. I asked to switch for a mixed greens salad and just to make sure i asked if it would be like the caesar with a bunch of the bitter radicchio - I was told that it was all pre batched and that it would be the same. Again written on the menu as mixed greens or cesar you are not expecting to get a bowl of radicchio. The women next to me didnt like her food very much either. They barely touched anything and spent over $100 too.The crispy potatoes were good but they dont give you any sorta fun aioli to go with it. If you need they will give you ketchup. The pizza didn’t look that great for $26.LIVING WAGE FEE ::This was very confusing. We were charged a 10% fee of $8.80 on a $56 bill (which made no sense. Thats more than 10 percent anyways) …..So does this mean you dont pay ur waiters well and expect the customers to make that up and leave another 15-20% tip on top of that? Or does it count as the tip? I feel like this screws the waiters over bc confusion leads to pple not tipping and now the waiters end up with a 10% tip and hopefully in that case it means that living wage fee means they are paying their waiters better than other. Especially for the crazy prices for a simple small tapas n pizza place. We came for the fireplace atmosphere but it wasnt worth it. The wooden benches and chairs were also highly uncomfortable too. Also service was weird. Everyone seemed a bit frazzled and confused and didnt know the menu too well.

Title: Mixed Experience at Tabla in Tannersville, NYReview:My recent visit to Tabla in Tannersville, NY had its ups and downs. While the food was generally good, the service left much to be desired. The ambiance was inviting, and we were excited to try the lump crab pasta. However, when it arrived, we were disappointed to find that it lacked the promised lump crab meat. Despite this letdown, the other dishes we tried were tasty and well-prepared.On the service front, things weren't as smooth. We experienced long waits between drink orders, and when we raised the issue, we were informed of staffing shortages. While understandable, it would have been nice to see more effort from the staff to mitigate the delays.Additionally, it came as a surprise to discover a 25% gratuity already included in the bill for our larger party.Overall, while Tabla has potential, improvements in service communication and consistency are needed to enhance the dining experience.

I have no idea how all these other people managed to take pictures of their food first. It was wayyy too good for all of that.

Phenomenal food. Everything was delicious but I highly recommend the dips, particularly the whipped feta. Their steak & potatoes were perfectly cooked. Sit outside by the fire & bring your pups!

We’ve gone to Tabla several times now and are NEVER disappointed. Chef Alex has a wonderful selection of delicious food, my fiancé and I are always torn on what to get so normally we decide on two options and split them. We’re normally not the type to get dessert but don’t pass up on Emily’s dessert options because they’re always fantastic! I can’t recommend the focaccia pizza enough!Parking: Parking is street parking or in the lot behind Tabla which is a bit of a walk but nothing too terrible!

Enjoyed another delicious meal at Tabla. The "allspice" cocktail was delicious, and the tahina beet dip was velvety good.I wish I could have given five stars but the wait service was sub-par, unfortunately. She couldn't pronounce a number of the dishes and kept forgetting things -- including serving our drinks to another table. She was sweet and apologetic, but not what I expect for a high-end dining experience. Maybe she needs some rest and a little training.

We love this place! The food is amazing. I would call it upscale farm-to-table comfort food with a Mediterranean twist. The pizzas are excellent. So are the dips and chicken. Everything, really.Drink program is also great. One of the best restaurants in the Catskills for sure.

Great vibe and deco. Appetizers- pita and spreads are good but pizza and pasta are over rated. The 10% living wage adder confuses tip giving.

If they don’t want the public to dine, please say so at the door. They offer 2 yes 2 cooked items and can not get it right. My husband and I went, ordered two burgers, one well-done, one medium rare. we were served one rate and one raw. While I waited for the second burger to be cooked correctly, mine got cold. Terrible experience..

Really wanted to love this place but my friend and I left with a (literal and figurative) bad taste in our mouths. The location is amazing and the staff is super nice! The appetizers were great but the downfall was the main dishes being totally flavorless (to the point where we didn't even eat them) and the additional 10% living wage charge that doesn't go towards the tip. We weren't given any kind of explanation when inquiring about (1) the fee in general & (2) why it's a staggering 10%. The restaurant really should be covering that as part of their employees wages and it feels pretty wrong to tack that onto the bill when also expected to provide a 20% tip on top. Unfortunately won't be recommending or returning based on this experience.
