The small $39 lobster roll is a great value - not.

Amazing food. Lobster and crab rolls are legit. Full bar with a rotating local beer selection. Can't recommend enough.

One of the best sandwiche out there. Must try

I had a great lobster roll in a town where you can't see the ocean. Great, not good. It may have been the best I ever had. I'm out driving yesterday afternoon with my beautiful wife look at the leaves turn color on Platts Cove Road. It's a seasonal road for a very good reason: it winds like an alarm clock. Our route takes us past the lake and my wife wants some photos. The chef Tim was outside so I started speaking with him. Place was owned by the man who owns the Grey Lady in Montauk on Long Island. He told me what was on the menu. I decided to try dinner there that night. Good choice. The bride had the fried shrimp: batter was light and crispy. Cocktail sauce was fresh and homemade. Yum. I had a massive lobster roll. I mean the roll was the usual size, but there was a whole claw of juicy delicious lobster with drawn butter sitting on that bun. You can't usually get decent seafood in the Catskills. But you can here. And, hell: it's next to a pretty lake and has outdoor seating. Highest recommendation.

The Chili was VERY Spicy and not very hearty. Tasted like Red-hot sauce was used. I like Hot, but it was almost too spicy to enjoy.Parking: Plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible

Food and location are great but the one star review is in hopes of driving change. The restaurant does not provide recycling bins and the clientele has been throwing aluminum cans In the trash. The fact that in the 21st century and adult human would think this is remotely acceptable is beyond disgraceful to the point where this restaurant should be fined. There is no excuse. To top it off the restaurant does not provide water to patrons, instead offering to sell water in plastic bottles. Please grow up and join the civilized world.

I really enjoyed the food & drinks. Lovely spot next to a park/playground, lake, and walking path.A bit pricey for a full meal- but the seafood is delicious and hard to find elsewhere around here. The sides and snacks are very affordable and of good portion size.I look forward to visiting here again and expanding this review further!

Stopped in for a lobster roll and for a walk around the area. Everyone was friendly and the food was fantastic. Outdoor seating, a big playground area, a walking path, a lake with rentals, and cornhole out back. Definitely a dope spot.

Very fresh fish, calamari, etc. It’s a very welcome addition to the area.

Music was very loud. So much so you could not here when they called our order. Food lacked desired flavor. French Fries were good.

Horrible! Prices are ridiculous and the food is terrible! If you want small very small portions of overpriced and terrible food then this is the place for you!

If you're familiar with the Hunter/Tannersville are, you are aware that we need more restaurant choices. Driving through town, there are numerous signs for the Boathouse Cafe. My husband and I decided to give it a try. We ordered the fried calamari for $17.99. When we picked up our order we couldn't believe the size of the serving. It was ridiculously small. $17.99 for a cup of calamari? They have to be kidding. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Amazing casual fare, good service and low key atmosphere with live music! Kids loved the SUP and Kayaks and the lobster roles were legit!

Tried out this place we discovered off the main drag (RT 23A) down by Rip Van Winkle Lake and the new Pickleball courts. We appear to be late to the party, today at noon our order was #68 and lots of the indoor / outdoor tables were occupied by families and friends ( and dogs outdoors). My wife liked the lobster roll and I got a chicken sandwich and we shared a quinoa salad on the side. Friendly and efficient staff were quite nice. We will go back to try some different offerings and enjoy their Saturday live music ( after 4 PM). Canoe and kayak rentals available too.
