Old school Italian with large servings of excellent food. It is in a somewhat sad looking strip mall with not much curb appeal. But don't let that throw you off. The interior is nice and the staff friendly.Be aware the place looks like it's been there forever -- the word is out with locals and regulars so it can get crowded at peak hours.

Horrible hospitalityWaited 25 + minutes for a reservation to be honoredOwner disputed this factService was slow and had to request the bill several timesIf you are seeking friendly hospitality...not the place to go unless perhaps you happen to be a regular which seems to be how things are runFood is southern Italian and is just okOwner is retiring so apparently she really doesn't care about how customers are treated!

Reminds me a lot of Dante's in Leonia ..small friendly Italian place for locals ... 95% of staff appears to be women and all are hard working, efficient and friendly. We had NZmussels, Rigatoni pomodoro and angel hair w/shrimp...all dishes were delicious ?. Even house salad good --light dressing but subtle good flavor..... Definitely going back.

My favorite go to for a casual night out with delicious food. The food cannot be beat & the service is always good. Sal is the chef owner and he always serves fresh, quality dishes with an Italian flair. His wife Kathy is front of the house & always makes everyone feel welcome.

My family and I have been visiting La Fontanella for over a decade. We have N E V E R been dissappointed, we have had several family events on location. The staff is always making sure you are comfortable and enjoying your evening. As for the menu, I believe we have pretty much so tried everything and Sal always amazes us with his unique recipes. You can not visit the sorrounding area without a visit to La Fontanella, you will feel right at home on a Sunday with the family. Enjoy!

I had my daughter's baby shower here on July 22nd, 2023 and it was perfect! Cathy, the owner, could not have been more helpful and answered all my email questions promptly in the months leading up to the actual day. The tables were set the night before and I was able to come in early to set up and decorate. The food was amazing and the staff was attentive and everything flowed smoothly. I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! I highly recommend La Fontanella and will definitely be back! Carolyn D.

Great food for many years, attentive service with a smile and a warm and comfortable atmosphere, they get a loyal clientele and it's easy to see why!
