La Fontanella Ristorante on Route 303 in Tappan is a fantastic restaurant with great food, friendly service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The entire staff treats guests like family, with attentive service and water glasses never left empty. The menu is amazing and includes a children’s menu, with many lunch specials offered that include soup or salad. For starters, guests get the best bruschetta ever, followed by a nice salad with delicious homemade salad dressing. The dinner specials are always on point, and the bread is to die for with a crusty exterior and soft, chewy interior. If available, the stuffed artichokes are amazing. A scrumptious lavender cake has just been added to the dessert menu. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated, though the decor could use a refresh and the wine list needs an update. A true neighborhood gem, La Fontanella is great for adults and awesome for kids.
