Recommended dishes: Gambas Al Ajillo, Flan, Grilled Octopus, Garlic Prawns, Red Sangria Pitcher
The ambiance was fabulous. However, the tapas themselves were a bit lackluster. We ordered the grilled octopus. It had a great color on it, so naturally we were expecting bold flavor. It was not, and it was supper fatty. The spicy steak tips also, great presentation but no spice and no flavor.
The Gamabas Al Ajillo, the croquetas and the stuffed scallops shells however, dee-licious. So was the apple gallete dessert!! So, not super terrible but not super great either.

I had an incredible experience at this Spanish tapas restaurant. Every dish was absolutely exquisite—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with care. The red sangria was honestly the best I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced and refreshing.
The service was excellent from start to finish, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I’m already planning my next visit and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing tapas and a memorable dining experience.

the steak waa overcooked and the potatoes were overcooked,
overfried, and tasted old. when i told the server it was not good he did not do anything to try to correct the problem. the place was packed. i guess they figure they dont have to try that hard because there’s very few places to go in tarrytown. also the artichokes tasted like they were out of a can.
dont waste your money
so the manager lying. not once did they ask if the steak was okay or i would have said something. the paprika on the potatoes was not the problem. they were overfried and the oil
tasted rancid. you were very busy. which is why i couldnt complain about the steak until the end. and not once did you offer to correct the mistake when i did complain, like offer of us free dessert for the inattentive service and overcooked steak. we were hungry so we ate it. if i could have gotten youre attention sooner i would have.
my palate is not the problem
the service was bad and the steak was overcooked. what an aweful restaurant not owning up to a mistake
one more problem i forgot
to mention. we were not done with our appetizers before they brought out the steak. obviously they are more concerned with turning tables than customer satisfaction. im sure one of the reasons the steak was overcooked and the potatoes tasted awful was that they kept the plate under the warmer instead of making a new entree. they are more concerned with profit than actual customer satisfaction.

It is truly beautiful to see everyone, enjoying their company and mingling with others, but of all how Basque was able to create an ambiance that has brought everyone together is not something that we see every now and then. This place is a gem and we had an incredible night tonight. The service was impeccable. The food was Abundant and delicious. I truly hope to be back soon. Overall everything was delightful. I highly recommend coming to try it out.

Wonderful place! Super cozy and amazing food. Was very busy for a Wednesday evening, so make reservations if possible. It's kind of expensive, but hey, it's New York. I would definitely dine here again, hopefully with someone else picking up the check. Enjoy!

We had 3 different tapas (burrata, mussels, artichokes) and soup. All were amazing!
The only downside can be the wait.

What an amazing Spanish restaurant. One of the best we have been to. Outstanding paella and tapas. And top it off with amazing sunsets. Highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Tarrytown.

I love the food, the pricing, the service and the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly including the people sitting next to me. I can't wait to go back to Tarrytown.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was bad enough that I feel the need to share.
From the moment we arrived, things felt off. The hostess told us there were no tables available even though there were clearly empty ones. I pointed one out, and only then did she walk us over, without any kind of greeting or “welcome.” Then she strangely walked away for a few minutes and came back to say hello as if she had never spoken to us before — only then seating us. Very odd start.
But the real issue was our server, José, whose service was genuinely terrible. The moment we sat down, he immediately began pushing us to order… we hadn’t even opened the menu yet. He told us that since it was 9:20 PM, they couldn’t serve paella. What frustrated me wasn’t even that paella supposedly wasn’t available, but that no one told us this when we walked in, especially since paella is the restaurant’s main attraction and the whole reason we came.
The manager overheard and said it was still early enough and that we could order paella. Instead of simply giving us a few minutes to choose, José insisted that we order it right at that moment, still not giving us even a minute to look at the menu. I asked if we could have just 5 minutes, and he said no. I genuinely don’t understand what difference it would have made for them to let us look for a few minutes, it made no sense and felt unnecessarily rude.
We then asked a couple of questions about other dishes, and his responses were incredibly vague and dismissive:
“Spanish style.”
“Like it says on the menu.”
“Just like that.”
He offered no actual explanation, no guidance… nothing.
Once the food arrived, he never checked on us again. I had to ask other servers multiple times just to get water. The only thing he did quickly was bring the check.
The food itself was decent depending on what you order, but at that point, the service had already ruined the experience.
There are too many great restaurants in the area to spend your time or money somewhere that treats guests like an inconvenience. I wouldn’t come back, and I don’t recommend it.
