“The restaurant has a lot of good food and I'm really looking forward to more good food”

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!”

“Walked the Tappan Zee Bridge from Rockland to Westchester and made our way to the Taco Project for awesome Chicken Tacos and some Mango Margaritas! After all we earned it! 😉 Will definitely be back again and will recommend to all my friends!”

“My husband and I had a most delightful dinner. Michel the owner welcomed us like into his home. Excellent wine recommendation with our dinner. All staff efficient and attentive to our needs. Octopus appetizer, Pasta Bolonase delicious and generous. The venue itself is charming, with Michels own artwork as decor. We were visiting from out of town, otherwise this would be a favorite to frequent.”

“Southern baker here. Take it from someone who knows biscuits, and get a scallion cheddar biscuit, perfect bake, flaky not crumbly. Honestly one of the best biscuits I’ve ever eaten!
Classic chocolate cupcake is great, buttercream needs a pinch salt in my opinion.
Carrot cake cupcake was a hit for the hubby with a perfect cream cheese icing.
If you’re an egg salad fan, grab a tub and a ciabatta roll for a quick sandwich!”

“My close friend from Tarrytown is spending the weekend with us in Boston. He brought a peach pie that we had last night for dessert and it was outstanding! This morning, the vegetable quiche. I have eaten a lot of quiche in my 55 years, but this is one of, if not the best quiche I've ever tasted. The next time that I visit Tarrytown, I am most definitely stopping by and picking up a few things.”

“I had such a fantastic experience at Victor's. The variety here is truly impressive.

I was especially excited to try the walking tacos, which are served right in the bags of Doritos and Fritos. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. If you are in the area, you absolutely have to stop by and check out their creative menu. I will definitely be back soon.”

“Best tonkotsu ramen in Westchester! When I can't go to Manhattan for ramen, this place hits the spot. I've had the tonkotsu ramen multiple times, and the broth is flavorful, the pork is both seared and tender, and the noodles have a great chewiness. At so many ramen places in Westchester, the noodles are overcooked and close to mushy, but Susuru Ramen does it right! After years of searching, I have a go to ramen place in Westchester!”

“Went there as I was catching a show across the street. Nice small place with cozy atmosphere. There was seating inside and outdoors. My wife and I started off with a chicken and beef empanada. The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.”

“I'm not a big fan of pizza but this place was really good. Perfect ratio of meat, sauce, and cheese. Surprisedly enjoyed bbq chicken. This place marinated the chicken with bbq rather than have the bbq sauce on the pie. In my opinionz this created a good balance and wasn't feel overwhelming.”

The food has always been excellent. Beautiful too the eye, and yummy to the taste buds. Specials are made with add much care as the regular menu items.
Special occasions are honored. And school class trips to Osaka leave the kids thrilled to go back with their families.
John, the owner, and his staff are a joy to be around. Training is clearly taken seriously. And the staff genuinely take pride in giving guests a really nice meal and experience.”

“Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service”

“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.”

“I had a fantastic meal from here today. The udon noodles were cooked perfectly and held onto the savory sauce, making for a truly satisfying lunch.

Everything was fresh, especially the bright, crunchy bell peppers and the tender slices of beef mixed throughout. It was a solid, comforting portion that hit the spot. I will definitely be ordering this again soon.”

“I was looking for good NY pizza and definitely found it at Capri. I ordered a couple of slices of cheese pizza. The slices were enormous and were scrumptious. They had the perfect balance of cheese and sauce and the crust had a nice crunch. Most importantly, the slices were fresh and not greasy at all. I started with the Tortellini Brodo soup. The soup was piping hot and included generous portions of tasty tortellini. This too was outstanding. Service was friendly. Great place for pizza lovers.”
