“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!”

“My husband and I had a most delightful dinner. Michel the owner welcomed us like into his home. Excellent wine recommendation with our dinner. All staff efficient and attentive to our needs. Octopus appetizer, Pasta Bolonase delicious and generous. The venue itself is charming, with Michels own artwork as decor. We were visiting from out of town, otherwise this would be a favorite to frequent.”

“Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service”

“Went there as I was catching a show across the street. Nice small place with cozy atmosphere. There was seating inside and outdoors. My wife and I started off with a chicken and beef empanada. The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.”

Not much in this area.. So this becomes the go to. Lots of pastries. Tried several of them and have not been disappointed. German chocolate cup cake, pecan topping perfectly sweet.
Sausage sandwich on biscuit, bacon egg on biscuit, both a little greasy.. Think it's the cheese.. But delicious. BLT was good. Don't think you can go wrong, was all good.
No begals here. Scones! They are yummy!
Just a group of tables to sit at... Never had a problem finding a spot with party of 2 or 3.”

“For an awesome time, Ruth Chris Tarrytown is the spot. Food is always up to par. Great wait, staff and management. But the highlights of this establishment are Ashley, Scarlet Alan, & Diana These bartenders are unique. Alan is a Great waiter. With Reynold making sure things are good to go. They are creating awesomeness with great drinks and a great vibe . They are always courteous and professional. Ashley & Scarlet & Diana are always upbeat and spreading joy. I have eaten a lot of quiche in my 55 years, but this is one of, if not the best quiche I've ever tasted. “Best tonkotsu ramen in Westchester! When I can't go to Manhattan for ramen, this place hits the spot. I've had the tonkotsu ramen multiple times, and the broth is flavorful, the pork is both seared and tender, and the noodles have a great chewiness. At so many ramen places in Westchester, the noodles are overcooked and close to mushy, but Susuru Ramen does it right! After years of searching, I have a go to ramen place in Westchester!”

“Went for the AYCE sushi that had a standard selection for $35. After tax and automatic tip, it was about $45 for one person. Good fish to rice ratio. I'd say a standard sushi experience without issues. I'd prefer if they didn’t drizzle chocolate syrup over the green tea ice cream though because it messes up the tea flavor.”

“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.”

“I had a fantastic meal from here today. The udon noodles were cooked perfectly and held onto the savory sauce, making for a truly satisfying lunch.

Everything was fresh, especially the bright, crunchy bell peppers and the tender slices of beef mixed throughout. It was a solid, comforting portion that hit the spot. I will definitely be ordering this again soon.”

The line was out the door, and it could have easily been complete chaos. Instead, I watched these guys work together effortlessly, communicating seamlessly and keeping everything running smoothly. What impressed me most was the level of customer service they maintained despite the overwhelming crowd. They were efficient, professional, and genuinely attentive—something you don’t always expect in such a hectic environment. Great food is one thing, but great service under pressure says a lot about a business. Hats off to the entire team! You guys did an outstanding job!”

“The best lump crabmeat cake ever! No fillers, lump crabmeat in every mouthful. My partner had the vegetable calzone (huge) and loved it. Everything was absolutely fresh. Great menu. wine, beer and after dinner drinks selection. The service was impeccable and friendly. The Manager and Sommelier (Emilio) was wonderful and made fabulous recommendations. We live in NYC and took the Metro North just to try the restaurant. We had been there before for drinks with family and decided we needed to return for the food. The setting is perfect, about a minute walk from the train station and right along the Hudson River. We took a stroll on the river waterfront after dinner and watched the stars pop up as it got darker. Perfect!”
