We visited Ruth's Chris for the first time on a Monday night in Tarrytown, New York. We had no expectations so when we received excellent service by Matt and the Ruth's Chris team, along with perfectly cooked steak and accompaniments, we were extremely pleased. Highly recommend Ruth's Chris in Tarrytown.
The food was deliciously prepared and served at a timely and unhurried pace. The beef was cooked to the proper temperature and salads and dessert were scrumptious. I always find the Ruth's classic to be a great meal.
Great overall experience. we asked for a cappuccino and we had to wait a while for the sugar to be served - other than that, good ambiance and friendly. Sweet Potato Casserole was highly recommended

Ruth's Chris Steak House provides excellent service and tasty food that consistently meets high standards. The NY strip with a blue cheese crust remains a highlight, often surpassing Japanese wagyu. Appetizers like fried calamari and crab cakes are very good, and the steak house salad is also enjoyable. Steaks are cooked to perfection, with the 11 oz filets arriving just as ordered, while the 8 oz filet may sometimes be slightly overdone. Desserts such as crème brûlée, cheesecake, and bread pudding are highly recommended. The ambiance is relaxing and enhances the overall dining experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, making guests feel well cared for. While there is some inconsistency with shrimp quality, the service remains efficient. Although prices are high, Ruth's Chris Steak House is a great choice for both special occasions and casual meals. Reservations are advised, and parking is ample.
