They should have live music or some kind of music playing. It was beautiful but way too quite.

Rip off we were double charged and I can’t get in touch with the manager and I called 15 times and left my name and phone number and cannot get in touch with anyone at the hotel and this is his number if anyone doesn’t believe me 914-524-6387
We chose this restaurant for brunch on Sunday after reading great reviews, 4star AAA rating, and scenic location. Although the location is nice, the food is terrible. French toast should not have Camembert cheese on top of it. Caesar salad wrap was “not good at all” according to my 17 year old son. Eggs, bacon were decent, but how can you not cook basic breakfast well? Coffee was terrible. If you like good food, do not waste your time. If you don't care about what you eat and are not discriminating, you'll enjoy yourself.
A little hard to find the restaurant when you arrive, little signage at the hotel. No formal check in area for the restaurant and no one to greet you. Can't comment on the food, because after ten minutes of sitting down no one came over to our table and we walked out. Not even a damn drink order. For the amount of money that I was about to spend I'm glad I made that choice terrible service, they definitely don't have their act together. Another couple followed us out who had the same experience.
The waiter forgot to give our group of 6 menus, then we had to remind him he never took our cocktail order, then the food arrived before the cocktails and he forgot the wine I ordered with my entre. He gave us all the impression he never had waited tables before.
just now NEW My husband and I shared a lovely evening together here to celebrate our birthdays. I made a reservation a month in advance with the understanding that the restaurant provided a pre fixe menu. I found out later that it is no longer an offering. I called the restaurant and spoke with Stephanie. She apologized for the miscommunication and said she would talk to the chef to see how we could be accommodated. They were able to set up a 5 course tasting menu. The food was excellent but I have to say for us, the highlight was the service. The wait staff were extremely professional and attentive. Thank you all for a beautiful evening!
Excellent experience at Emerson & Ruth. We were seated outside and had wonderfully attentive staff and the food exceeded my expectations. Wine selections and cocktails were lovely as well. We will return. Thank you.
Everything was perfect! We spent our wedding night at Castle & Spa Hotel 4 years ago, so we went back for our anniversary dinner last night. Just a shame the hotel was fully booked - but the dinner, drinks, service, and ambiance were all wonderful.
The restaurant is amazing. We went for brunch. Had a beautiful view of the Hudson River. For brunch, they have an a la carte menu, with more than the usual egg choices. We have grits with perfectly cooked shrimp and pork belly. Service is excellent. We have also gone for dinner, which is great too.

The menu was delightful, me and my husband enjoyed each dish. Staff was kind and attentive. The only hiccup was there was no one present to valet the car and we had to walk a bit once we found non-valet only parking.
We want to Equus to celebrate my boyfriend's Birthday, and we were so impressed with everything! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and the history, charm and coziness of the Oak room was lovely!! We made another reservation for our Anniversary next month! It was a great experience :) Also, the weekday deals on the gorgeous rooms for an overnight are great!!
There are way better options in Westchester. The food was dry & tasteless. There were flies in the dining area & it doesn't look clean. The best part was the servers. They were friendly, attentive & not fake-ly accommodating.

The buffet spread is nothing special. Salmon is dry & looks like been sitting for a while. The food warmers are old that you wonder if it's safe for the food to be in it. Toaster doesn't toast the bagels. I don't think we will be back. The good thing about our experience are the servers -- they were pretty attentive & friendly.
This restaurant was exceptional in every way. We came for our 24th wedding anniversary and everything was perfect. It was a prefix menu of extraordinary food selections. The staff, food and atmosphere went beyond our expectations. I can't say enough about how amazing the food was. From the salad to main dish to dessert, everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. When the waiter asked what we liked best, it was impossible to choose. I highly recommend Equus and will be back in the future.
