Absolutely one of the best dining experiences around. The atmosphere is a warm buzz and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Katie the manager does an awesome job and the added touch of remembering me from a previous visit was chef's kiss!

There are a few very nice rooms to dine in inside. We were seated in a less nice more generic room (maybe because we had two kids with us?). The music was not fitting the place and too loud. The food was not great and therefore overpriced for what it was. Everything was too salty (and maybe too much MSG?) to the point of it making the dishes not enjoyable after a few bites. We couldn’t get the kids to eat too much. Service was good.

Our visit to Goosefeathers was very good. Being Top Chef fans, it was exciting to visit Dale Talde’s flagship in Tarrytown, NY. We chose to dine Al fresco and were not disappointed as it was a summer Friday and Chef Roger had the amazing outdoor grill going. They treated our kids very well, and service was wonderful all night. We ordered the Chow fun, which was a tasty interpretation. The cocktails were inspired, and just strong enough. I would’ve preferred a bit more seasoning on the halibut, which was steamed on the grill in a banana leave. But otherwise the evening was very good.

While staying at the Tarrytown House Estate for a Wedding recently we had the chance to dine at Goosefeather for Brunch. The asian influenced dishes did not disappoint. I could eat the scallion pancake everyday!!!!

Had my first visit to @goosefeatherny and it was amazing! Loved the atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. Drag brunch on Saturday is calling my name! Oh, and that bread and butter...thanks @solsplits for always showing me the good spots to go! You can also get the beautiful beads on my wrist at @obaapaartsandjewelry

Cool atmosphere, underwhelming food. Really wanted this to live up to the hype, but everything fell flat.

Went to Goosefeather to celebrate my husband's birthday - what a great choice! The service was phenomenal, they actually read my note on the reservation about it being my husband's birthday and they treated us so well! The food was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered. The desserts were very original. Overall, best choice we could have made.

Horsefeathers!

We ordered 5 dishes including cocktails. Each dish was one note. Cocktails were bitter, without artistry or nuance. The beef potstickers were dry and bland. The lobster and crab noodle dish was all spice, without any other notes coming through. The seared tuna was as salty as a mouth full of seawater. Finally, the pineapple ice dessert was sickeningly sweet- complete with maraschino cherries. The only positive I can note is that the pasta in the noodle dish was cooked very well, but that highlight was overshadowed by all of the seasoning missteps.

Service was hectic and harried, with the acoustics of the space making us feel like the loudmouth two tables away was dining right alongside us. The servers did not seem to notice that we barely touched our food or our quizzical looks as we sampled each bizarrely seasoned dish.

As a dining experience, I’d rate it as among one of the worst highly rated restaurants I have encountered. We are used to different, and we don’t mind quirky. But this was just not good.

The only other explanation I can think of is that the meal is intended as some sort of bizarre performance art- a tour of your taste zones: bitter, tasteless, spicy, salty, and sweet. All I know is that the experience left me sour.
