STOP EVERYTHING YOU DOING AND GO THERE RIGHT NOW! Feels good to say we finally found our go to spot for this type of cuisine in the area. The Karage, spectacular. The Shrimp Tempura roll, stupendous. The Sweet Potato Fries, I NEED MORE! The Shrimp Fried Rice, a whole meal. Including pictures so you know I’m not lying. And it’s BYOB friendly. They have special lunch options till 3:30pm too! Honestly, I’m concerned about my account because now we have to budget for stopping by here at least once a week! Dine in, food is best fresh!

Excellent quality sashimi, and great service!
We love My Tokyo! The fish is incredibly fresh and artfully prepared. The calm and intimate dining atmosphere is perfect for enjoying the authentic flavors of delicately prepared Japanese cuisine. I recommend going in the afternoon on a weekday before the dinner rush gets busy. Friday and Saturday nights are usually packed and once you taste the food you will easily see why. The menu is not too big and they offer the best most authentic dishes, you will not find too many gimmicky or trendy dishes here. My Tokyo is an absolute must for the river town sushi scene. 💕 🐟

Small, cozy Japanese restaurant in Tarrytown! I love the rolls, they never disappoint. Katsu was little dry and hard maybe overdone. Overall it’s a great restaurant with reasonable price tag! Definitely recommended 👍

Best Japanese in Westchester
As a family, we love to visit Tarrytown on a Saturday when the outdoor farmers market is going on. We happened upon this restaurant a few years ago and it’s our favorite spot to go. The food is excellent, the menu is simple but offers something different than the usual suspects. Their dumplings are excellent, fish is fresh and the ambience is simple but clean and relaxing.

Had the best lunch at My Tokyo in Tarrytown! Their sushi was incredibly fresh and they just melted in my mouth. The shrimp tempura was so light and crispy. I don’t usually eat fried food, but their tempura was so good that I couldn’t stop eating them and I was lowkey kinda sad when it was all gone. You really need to try it! Service was great and the chef here is amazing. It was an upscale quality dining experience in a cute vibey restaurant without the pretentious price tag. Hands down my favorite sushi experience. Will definitely be going back again!
Really enjoyed my sushi meal here. Wish I had known it was byob but the genmaicha was really delicious. Looking forward to visiting soon and hopefully often.

Cozy place to grab tasty sushi!
I’ve been here a few times now — and it’s become one of the most reliably delicious sushi places I’ve been to in westchester!
The my Tokyo plate is incredible, with the best!!! Tuna I have had outside of tuna belly. Portion size is extremely generous, and everything is always fresh and delicious. Love the gyoza as an app, also tried the grilled avocados which were surprisingly delish. Their matchas are also great quality.
Staff is always attentive + super helpful! They’re BYOB— with a liquor store conveniently across the street.
Overall, couldn’t be beat :)
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE. As once a local I have been a customer of this resturant since they opened. And is always my first stop when I am back in town. This restaurant has cultivated such a comfortable environment for me to expand my love for sushi and other foods. From someone who has gone from cucumber rolls to midori rolls this place will always and forever be a home away from home and the best restaurant. From my first visit in August of 2019 to my most recent this past week this is the best place ever!
We had an excellent experience here. First things first, this is a BYOB establishment. We brought our own beers from home and a bottle of wine from the store across the street.
We ordered the sushi sampler and fried dumplings for starters; Both were very good.
For mains, we ordered a variety of rolls: jumbo spicy tuna, Kyoto roll (shrimp tempura), kamikaze roll (eel & crab meat). The best one was the kamikaze roll because the entire roll is deep fried and comes out warm… it was an interesting experience eating warm sushi. We also ordered the toro sushi, which is a personal favorite of mine and I was not disappointed. The pieces were fatty and buttery.
Service was great, we were checked on by at least two different wait staff. We opted to the Matcha Affogotto for dessert; this wasn’t as great as the other reviews stated, at least in our opinion. The ice cream was so hard that we were sawing at it with our spoons rather than scooping up a nice spoonful.
The restaurant was clean and inviting, nothing too flashy; it seemed like an authentic sushi spot.
Great quality fish, I will be back here.
