Cute, little place with very authentic barbecue. The ribs were excellent, and the pulled pork was top-notch, also. We were very impressed with the sides too, authentic old-style mac & cheese, and phenomenal and totally delicious sweet potato wedges. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. We will be back.

We discovered this address by chance. Online booking, simple and efficient when you can not speak too much English. On site, clean premises, professional and pleasant staff. Good atmosphere, furniture or decoration. The food? Super good. Classic, quality. Perfectly the desired taste, in suitable quantity. Value for money correct

The overall look and cleanliness of the restaurant were okay ā acceptable at best. But from the moment we started ordering, it turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences weāve ever had. Everything we tried to order was ānot available.ā It felt like the staff were forcing us to choose whatever they wanted to serve instead of what we wanted.
We ordered three appetizers and two main dishes. The first plate arrived 20 minutes later ā and it was one of the main courses! Then, as they dropped it off, the server casually said the other main dish was sold out and asked me to pick something else. Unbelievable ā and not even a hint of embarrassment!
What followed was total chaos. The servers were walking around the restaurant with plates, asking random tables if the dish belonged to them ā including ours. Every single dish we ordered arrived late, out of order, and by a different person. Iāve never seen such a level of service incompetence in any restaurant in the U.S. If I could give the servers negative five stars, I would.
As for the food ā by the time it arrived, I was too frustrated to even enjoy it. The flavors were okay, but nowhere near enough to make up for the experience. Prices were high considering the awful service, maybe slightly acceptable for the food alone.
In short: I genuinely wish I hadnāt wasted that one hour of my life there. The owner should be deeply ashamed of how this place is being run.

Worth every penny. Absolute best bbq Iāve ever had. Juicy, tender; the meat practically fell off the bone as I was eating it (and I eat quickly!). Staff was great, and the inside vibes and music was delightful! If youāre Tarry Town, give them a visit- you wonāt be disappointed. Oh! And the homemade sangria was incredible!

As someone whoās always up for a new barbecue experience, I had to drop in here on my way home from work. Nice little place! I ordered the brisket, coleslaw, and artichokes with bacon.
My only real criticism is the pricing. I donāt mind paying premium prices for good barbecue, but I usually expect the portions to match. While I definitely enjoyed the flavor of my mealāthe brisket was tender and juicy, and the sides were flavorfulāthe serving sizes felt a bit small for what I paid.
Still giving it 4 stars, though. The staff were friendly and accommodating with a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, itās a spot I may visit again for the quality, but maybe just on payday!

Iām only basing this review on what I ordered and what I saw as I waited. This is mediocre, criminally overpriced ābarbecueā. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich for $17, which somehow does not include a side w it, not even a measly ramekin of coleslaw. From the ones I saw displayed, though, the sides did not look very appetizing, to be honest. The sandwich itself was underwhelming, and it wasnāt the NHC weāve all come to know and love; this version was SLATHERED in a very generic, tepid āspicyā bbq sauce. I asked for a side of the āhouse bbqā sauce, and it was definitely not homemade; either Stubbās or KC Masterpiece if I had to guess. But the absolute worst part of the sandwich was that the chicken breasts were not fresh. The consistency was that of a cheap piece of grainy, chewy chicken, and Iām guessing they were previously frozen (and definitely not organic, but I donāt know if they make that claim, to be fair). I wanted to get a sampler of their ribs and brisket, but was dissuaded because the only way you could do so was if you ordered a 1/2 lb each two-meat combo plateā¦for almost $55! Iāve never seen bbq prices THAT high, and Iāve been to a lot of spots across the country, ranging from world-famous to local, mom- & pop-owned. I donāt know if the owner of Mint, who I like and respect from back in the day, still oversees this spot as well, but if he doesā¦Youāre a LOT better than this, Hassan!
