We were fortunate enough to stop by this very unassuming restaurant! The name is a bit misleading but “The Best Damn Food to Cross Your Lips” wouldn’t fit on the sign!! The chef is a genius and everything to leave the kitchen was perfectly prepared!
We are halfway through our meal and I had to start this review! The staff is amazing and everything that has been brought before us has been a 5 star experience! From the lobster corn chowder to the butternut squash ravioli!! This is a diamond to be discovered!! An absolutely must stop!

Found a piece of hard plastic in my food. They politely comped the bill, and it tasted great other than that, but I still would not go back. Our party also got 4 cocktails instead of the 4 beers that we ordered and one staff member was a little hesitant to give us the correct drinks (we did not want to pay for much more expensive beverages that we didn’t order). Another staff member very quickly corrected the error when she overheard, which we appreciated!

The food was decent, but the service fell short. Our server forgot our order and instead of promptly addressing the mistake, we waited around for about an hour until we got his attention. He admitted he forgot and retook our order, which was strange. When we explained the issue to the manager, she simply said “okay” with no apology or effort to fix the situation. The lack of hospitality overshadowed the overall experience.

Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service

Crazy how they are racist and liars and treat the workers how they do. I was there and this young lady served us we were apart of the group that gave her 100 dollar tip she was working her ASS OFF and very good to us while we dined in. This is embarrassing!
So I see we are a racist establishment, people should be treated equally, you accused a black American woman of stealing from your restaurant all because she took a tip which was rightfully hers and on top of that you call her employer and said she did a no call no show, which one is it??. You going viral good luck with your establishment

I wasn't going to leave a review at first but what I witnessed today was really off-putting. The treatment of one of their servers there today was very distasteful and I don't know how much they care about their image to have that on situation displayed in front of us and other patrons. It just seemed like they were ganging up on the woman, coincidentally, the only person of color that I saw on the staff so it also made me feel a way about the whole thing. And I personally won't be returning. When I come to an establishment to enjoy their services, I'd like to have a pleasant and professional experience and although the food was fine, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The management should be ashamed.

I observed management being racist. Ana and Henry specifically, I saw them bullying a black server with glasses and then i saw them huddled up coaching the other staff to say she never came in AFTER the black server left.
