The food was decent, but the service fell short. Our server forgot our order and instead of promptly addressing the mistake, we waited around for about an hour until we got his attention. He admitted he forgot and retook our order, which was strange. When we explained the issue to the manager, she simply said “okay” with no apology or effort to fix the situation. The lack of hospitality overshadowed the overall experience.

Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service

We needed a quick place for lunch. We stopped in for the burger but were pleasantly surprised and glad we came in. We ordered the octopus appetizer bc our daughter loves octopus and so glad we did. Delicious. Tender. Tasty. Perfect texture. Wow!
I ordered the wagyu burger with bacon onion jam. I ended up losing half my burger to my daughter…. It was so flavorful. My mistake was letting her taste what bacon jam is and I never got that half of my burger back.
