Omg, I just left the Thorne restaurant in Thornwood with my family. The food was the most delicious and authentic that I have had in a very long time. I ordered the lamb Osso buco special and it fell off the bone. My husband, kids and I are so excited that we have the best restaurant close to home.

What an amazing surprise. I chose the Thorne because of its great reviews and locals giving so many compliments. Coming from a restaurant background, my dining experience was beyond expectations and deserves five stars all around!

We had Mother's Day brunch at the thorn. The food was very good. The atmosphere was great. A little pricey but everyone finished everything on their plate!!

Hosting my baby shower at The Thorn was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The staff went above and beyond to make everything feel effortless and special—so attentive and accommodating from start to finish.
The food was outstanding; every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. And the ambiance? Absolutely stunning. The chic, floral décor of the restaurant perfectly complemented our baby shower theme and needed almost no extra decorating.
It was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t recommend The Thorn enough for any celebration or any day dining.

Every meal at The Thorn is an excellent experience. The staff are courteous and friendly. Nice ambiance, plenty of light and windows. The front of the restaurant opens in warmer weather.

Favorite Dishes: Short rib lasagne, chicken milanese, lamb burger, pesto pasta with burrata. My family always starts with the meze platter and ‘thorn chips’, which comes delicious tzatziki.

The chef is able to accommodate food allergies.

There is also a bar scene, nice lighting.

It's a super local find! The Cevapi sausage and Kofte meatball appetizers were delicious, and the fried zucchini & eggplant app was amazing! Pappardelle Pasta with Shrimp and the Branzino were also lovely. Great flavors and loved the use of all the herbs. Next time, we will try some of the salads.

Recently visited for my birthday. The restaurant has a beautiful setting and a relaxed atmosphere for brunch with friends. I opted for the eggs Benedict served with home fries, delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

Food has gone down hill. Flavorless & not cooked as ordered. One app had to be sent back to the kitchen for being overdone & too hard. The burger had weird grizzle in it so that wasn’t eaten. The pear arugula salad look like it came out of a plastic bag. The waitstaff is like the walking dead & useless. We waited too long for our meals because they served a large party that came in after us before us. Doesn’t make sense to hold up 5 meals for a bigger party’s to be served first. Bad management. Just an overall off vibe & it’s too expensive to not hit the mark on food, service or atmosphere. $120 wasted for a bday lunch. Can’t recommend any of the dishes anymore & their hamburger was one of my favorites. Disappointing. They seem to be resting on their aesthetics which is about all you’ll get there these days.

I'm a foodie. The dips, falafel, branzino and lamb burger were excellent. Unfortunately, the desserts were awful. Not fresh. The baklava and cheesecake were dried out and stale. Such a shame. Literally, we left with a bad taste in our mouths.
