Nothing good going on here. Service was terrible, for the most part we were ignored. Sat ourselves, had to stop the waitress to place our order, asked for a beverage refill (never got it), had to stop her to get the check. Left cash on the table and we were gone.
Next, the food. We both ordered the onion soup. Watered down, canned soup with BJs croutons tossed about, a smidge of rubbery cheese on top. I ordered the Ethan Allen and it was horrific! Toaster oven sandwich with way too much WARMED mayo on it. Honestly, a 12 yr old could do better. Overall, it was gross.
As far as the atmosphere goes, this was most concerning. We sat by the window to avail ourselves of the view, but most of it was obliterated by the overgrown trees & shrubs. There are 2 tables that allow for a view and neither were available. The windows are framed with OLD silk flowers that have small bugs crawling through them. I dropped my keys on the floor, upon retrieving noticed the baseboards. Old food from days gone by stained and stuck to them. Awful, truly awful! Made the mistake of using the ladies room before we left. Imagine the worst gas station bathroom you've ever walked into and you got this place.
Must say, the only reason we stayed is because we had been driving for hours and were exhausted. Avoid this place, not worth the level of disgust you will have upon leaving.
Stopped in for the view—absolutely worth it, stunning scenery all around. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t match the backdrop. The New York strip was underwhelming (think microwave, not grill), though the fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce had some charm. Best bets? The fries and grilled cheese. Service was friendly, cash only, but overall the dining didn’t justify the price. Go for the view, maybe the sandwiches—skip the steak.

Stopped here during my bike tour from NYC to Montreal for a bite to re-energize. Very nice staff, got unlimited water refills, and the food was great! Very bike friendly, and a great price! They accept cash only, and it is right off the Empire State Trail! Highly recommend for cyclists going through the trail!

We had dinner with 2 adults + 3 kids. Good food (burgers, salad, salmon, sweet fries) and friendly service. Nice views over Lake Champlain and the fort. We'll likely come again

Best restaurant in Ti! Not that there are many choices lol. Great food, service and atmosphere. Prime rib on Saturday is awesome. Bring cash. They don’t take credit cards.

In a word: bleak. If the overwhelming scent of air freshener is what wets your appetite, this might be your spot. This place is dripping with dusty fake flowers *everywhere*, cobwebs and neglect, inside and out. The bathrooms are dirtier than most average gas stations. The food was only okay as long as I didn't think about what the kitchen must look like if the rest of the place looked so unmanaged. Our service was friendly. The wings were, in fact, unique, though not in a way that appealed to me. Portions were good-sized.
We were hungry after a hike and the Fort View Inn was on our way so we gave it a go. It’s got a great location overlooking Lake Champlain & Fort Ticonderoga. The atmosphere is rustic & relaxing. Everyone chose different dishes and all were pleased. Very pleasant staff.
Note, bring cash.
Very friendly and great food

The only place around to get food on a Sunday night. We didn't expect much but we were pleasantly surprised. Veggie soup hit the spot on a cold winter night. Sandwiches were all amazing and it was the best onion ring i’vejas in years. Stop at the ATM on your way since they only accept cash! P.S. Get the Oreo cheesecake for dessert!
Can be busy. It took me a while to get our order last time with few patrons but usually an average wait time. Ample parking but be vigilant as road traffic is fast with limited visibility. Friendly service.

Cute little local Diner with personal service by the owner. Fewer options on the menu with better quality would go much further!
