“Amazing! Cool little spot next to the fairgrounds BUT Aug 20th is their last day at this location. They will be reopening down in Ticonderoga. The owner and head Brewer was super friendly and we really enjoyed hearing more about the brewery. We sampled a few different beers and they were all great. Hoping to be able to visit once they reopen their n Ticonderoga!”
“My brother in law and I ate lunch here the other day. It was fairly busy there but we were able to seated and order our food and drinks quickly. He had a burger and I had a philly cheese steak both of which were very good. The food came in fairly quickly considering how busy it was. We enjoyed our ”
“I’ve had good experiences here personally, but my family member had a negative experience when we took them here. It seemed to be that if you ordered take out at the window, it would be ready before multiple orders that were to eat there. The food is good but not all of the portions are big (based on the pulled pork sandwich and hot dogs). I really liked the chicken caesar wrap that I got. Previous times we’ve gone, my husband loves getting the sweet potato fries and melba sauce. We ordered takeout the other night and had good experiences. We got the buffalo chicken pizza and it was really good.”
“Overall: This is the best pizza in Ticonderoga, but the inconsistent cutting and lack of seating are drawbacks.Pizza: The pizza is excellent, but the slices are often cut poorly. The crust is generally thin and crispy, but it can vary in thickness and texture depending on the employee making it. On our first visit, a young man made our pizza and the crust was much thicker and fluffier than on subsequent visits, where two different young ladies made it. Every pizza we’ve had has been very good, but the inconsistency was surprising. The pizzas are large and the toppings are fresh and generous.Subs: I've ordered two subs from here, and both times they were huge, with tons of meat and fresh, crisp ingredients. The bread was also fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place over other sub shops in the area, which give you half the sub for the same price.Service: The service is friendly and efficient; they can get overwhelmed at times with orders and will disconnect the phones. The average time from order to ready has been 20 minutes or less in our experience – we have visited 6 times so far. The staff consistently overestimate the wait times so don't be alarmed when they say 40 minutes, etc.Atmosphere: The atmosphere is clean and new, but the shop is small and has limited seating. Kitchen chatter can be heard throughout the shop, and on one occasion, a young man was cooking while talking on his cell phone and yelling profanity and sexual innuendos. This may not be suitable for families with young children. The kitchen area appears clean and well organized.Pricing: The prices are reasonable, and the portions are large.Additional notes:- They also offer a variety of other Italian dishes, such as pasta, sandwiches, and salads. I haven't tried any of them yet, but they look and smell good.- They offer delivery and takeout, with free delivery within Ticonderoga. House of Pizza has a much larger free delivery area.- They sometimes disconnect their phone when they get busy and behind on orders.Vegetarian options: Large menu selection with some customizability, I'm sure they can accommodate many vegetarian requests if asked.Dietary restrictions: Large menu selection with some customizability.Parking: Only street-side parking available, but there are approximately 10 large truck sized spaces on the street nearby.Kid-friendliness: See Atmosphere section of review, some staff were far from professional.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible, 3 steep steps into building from steep sidewalk outside.”
“Had a great time at Seymour's. Walked in, placed our order and took some time to walk around the property to soak in some of the views.Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious as were the sides. Chicken Parmesan was good as well. Chicken was well seasoned. Would've liked more flavor when it came to the pasta--just a minor detail. Will definitely be back when we visit the area again!”
“They get kinda busy so please know what you want to order before you call or set an appointment. The woman were not rude and were ready to help me with my order (did not know what ricotta was until they told me)The delivery was about 45 minutes to an hour so just go work out or some thing (relax) The delivery guys were cool and friendly I enjoyed the experience.Would recommend for group gatherings like football Sunda and all sports and see if they offer catering.House of PizzaBy the way food was not overly greasyCHICKEN QUESADILLA with a jalapeno BROCCOLI AND TOMATO slices PIZZA with RICOTTA sauce a new way to eat cheese and broccoli ,Chilli with CHEESE slight kick to warm you up,House PIZZA was a easy protein decision, GARLIC KNOTS were warm soft in the middle and crispy on the edges not too much sweet icing where it was slime and not too much cinnamon where they are dry,BAKED ZITTI on point I had to add the mushrooms came out legit not too much sauce where it was soup, noodles are perfectly cooked and they were no crunchy dry pasta, mushrooms just to wander my mouth hole with the flavors.(pause)The Salad I do believe had in house made vinaigrette dressingAll love, Thanks”
“Stopped in after visiting Fort Ticonderoga on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago on our anniversary trip through NY, VT and NH. So happy we did! Wendy was at the bar and felt like an old friend! She was so happy, fun, friendly - and knew everyone who came in. A couple of young kids came in and it was one's birthday - Wendy remembered they were there three years ago! Jeff came in and we had a blast talking with him and he and Wendy knew so many of the same people. A couple of other folks came in and everyone was chatting and watching football. It was better than Cheers! As we were heading to Vermont, Wendy gave us the names of a few relatives who own stores in Woodstock and we met Kit at one and some other folks at the others! Oh - the steak and cheese was amazing! Fries were great. Beer was cold. The pub was just the best - love it! Thank you, Wendy!! Sue and Dave”
“Stopped in on a Sunday and Wendy was at the bar. What a great person. We chatted with her ordered a large steak and cheese with fries to split and had a couple of beers. Jeffrey came in, a local. Wendy and Jeff knew a lot of the same people. A couple of guys in their early 20s came in, one was celebrating their birthday. Wendy remembered that they came in 3 years ago. A few more folks came in - everyone was chatting. It was better than Cheers! Wendy is a wonderful person - we were on our way to Woodstock VT and met all the people she told us about who owned shops there. Oh and the fries and steak sandwich were AWESOME - and so was the beer!”
“I've eaten at the Hot Biscuit Diner many times, and I've always had great food. I love their pancakes. Yesterday I went there for lunch and I told the waitress that I just had a tooth pulled. She was very friendly and suggested the meat loaf would be simple to chew and that was the special of the day. It was delicious. Thank you Jamie.”
“When traveling from northern Vermont to Albany and south, Google maps will take you strange ways, but do not miss Ticonderoga Dunkin’ Donuts. It’s the oasis in the desert. Get a coffee and some food and sit in the comfortable chairs and relax a minute. Perfect stop as you drive through.”
“I absolutely love the fresh food and the workers are wonderful as well as the atmosphere....it's always so friendly when I go in and place a order or even do a Mobil order , the workers are ALWAYS friendly and polite!!”
“For what it is, a discount chain, it's fine but dont expect anything unique. Prices are great but you get what you pay for. Exception would be their prime steaks are the best you'll get for miles. It's just a shame its driven away so many other businesses in the vicinity.”
“This is a must stop place to get a sandwich. The owner is very friendly, I ordered a turkey sub, it was the best sub that I have ever had. The meat was very fresh, and it was well worth the money. I will be back.”
“Very nice. Good food. The best thing is that it's inside the hotel that is good for thatvone night rest when you are on the road and atill have a long way to go. ?”
“Might be one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life…no joke sooooo goood every time…I’d wait in line just to eat here with a smile on my ”
“We were craving Chinese food while staying in the area for the week and stumbled across Happy Star, and it was everything we were looking for. The owner was very kind and even though he was the only person there and we didn't call ahead to place our order, our food was prepared pretty fast. We will definitely be returning!”
“On 1/6/24 I went to the drive thru and got 2 mcdoubles, a McChicken, 4 pc nugget for the pup dog, a large sprite, and was offered a free pup cup. When I got to the window my card was declined, and I apologized to Brady, the employee taking care of my order. Without hesitation he offered to pay for my meal. He was professional and took customer service to a level rarely seen, I was a little shocked and thanked him.Probably the nicest and most selfless thing that I have experienced that I can remember. The food at this location is always hot, and always great customer service. I literally drive 40 minutes one way to get to this location, and it's worth it every time.Thank you Brady for helping me out!10/10 recommend this McDonald's”
“What a great place.Out of all the restaurants for 90 miles, this one has crab legs and they are great!Clams are very tasty! The staff is friendly and prices are good.Definitely a hidden gem!”
“If I could give this brewery 10 stars I would. This place is amazing. Great beers. Great atmosphere. Paul the owner is an outstanding guy. True professional and gifted brew master. This place is a true diamond in the rough.”
“A very good place in the middle of an oasis. Those Adirondack Fries were pretty good with a Michigan Burger. If I end up in the middle of upstate NY again, I would stop by again.”
“Lovely bread. Lovely folks. We came here while driving through the Adirondacks on our way to Vermont. We'd heard of the place thanks to PBS's Diary of a Foodie. I've been wanting to check out the bread, so we detoured into Crown Point. I don't think Yannig Tanguy is very involved in the day-to-day operations anymore, but it doesn't matter; the two young women running the place are really committed to great bread and baked goods. We stopped at dinner time. We got sandwiches, soup, and croissants to eat there, as well as some bread, cookies, and scones to go. The atmosphere is laid-back, pleasant, and homey. I could have stayed all day. The food was simple (in the best possible sense), wholesome, and healthful, but really delicious. The multi-grain loaf was great. It was crusty, moist, complex, and flavorful--a meal in itself. Our least favorite things were the cookies, which we found to be a tiny, tiny bit dry, but they were still better than what you'd find in most other bakeries. This is a great place. Stop in if you are in the area.”
“We have always had good service at this location. One server that truly stands out is Ken. He is always friendly and happy to see you. He gets to know you and treats you as friend. So keep up the great work Ken and keep serving up those awesome coffee beans.”
“This place was as great as all other locations with the one exception: I found it elusively difficult to locate as I drove around the block. I reasoned that it was because the exterior appearance boasted somewhat uncharacteristic colors and architecture that just didn't match up with my memorized appearance cues. Trust your maps! It's right where they say it is. I don't disguise my coffee with sweeteners and dairy and found the dark roast a tad more bitter than usual. Still... very... good.”
“They are usually not open Mondays, but we're open for eclipse business. Lucky for us, since we were hunting for food on our way back from viewing the event. They do mostly versions of hand food. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwich, etc. They also do a few meals. This day the meals were mac and cheese, and scallop potatoes with cubed ham. Two of us had the potatoes, the others had a hot dog and the other a cheeseburger. We all enjoyed our meal and enjoyed the staff and other customers, since we were all on an eclipse high. Next time I go to the Star Trek Set Museum, I will go back here again.”
