“What an amazing place! Both the owners were working and were extremely nice. The food was amazing. I heard about this place from every local I was working with. One of the most recommended places I've ever been to!”

“Amazing food and location. Beautiful space and impeccable service. We were a large party and in middle of the main dining room. In the future I would ask to be seated in a quieter side room so that we could hear everyone at the table. Older members of our group had a difficult time hearing anyone not seated directly next to them.”

“We are so grateful for a reliably good take out option in Middlebury! Really good, fresh, and spicy. We have enjoyed all the curries - especially the green curry. Give them a try!”
“Nice spot to decompress and have some of Vermont's own cider. Short self guided tour with some info but the main attraction is the tasting room and the cider. The tasting room was very nice and comfortable. The bartender was great to talk to and get to know. I will be coming more often.”

“One of the best Indian restaurants in Vermont. Service could be better, but the food and location make up for this. Really the best tasting Indian in the state as far as I know.”

“From out of town. Back Again after a few years. We really missed this place. We were here for Eclipse week. Everyone in my group were amazed by the huge charm of the place with small cozy cubbies, small rooms, 1 table corner. So rare. An ICON of Middlebury. Be sure to save room for complimentary chocolate milk from a local farm. (That's great! Who does that?) The best!!. Do not miss this place. You find good food and a fabulous place to eat it.”

“Let me start by saying this is a brewery that has great food available at the Grapevine Grill housed in the same building (and they will bring it to you) The beer here is great, UK & European style beer with some classic American ones. Usually EPL matches on the telly. Dog friendly, say hi to Bernie (owners cute little fella)”

“If you are in town you can not miss this place! What a sandwich we ate! Im telling you guys ,this is not any sandwich, this is "The Sandwich" and you can make your own ,with fresh and delicious ingredients! The staff is so very kind and professional. Unforgettable!”
“As a Vermonter, Woodchuck is the first cider I started drinking (and my favorite). I now live in the Chattanooga, TN area and can only get limited flavors. On a recent trip to Vermont my goal was to go to the cidery and do some taste testing and buy some cider. My friend and I split 3 flights and I bought 3 different ciders. I also learned that Woodchuck is the only importer of Magner's cider, my other favorite. And, psst, they bottle all of Aldi's cider too! (Though they aren't supposed to tell you that, the address on the label says so.) The production line wasn't running, unfortunately, but it was cool to hear how much their production has increased. Now all we need down here is a distributor who'll bring us better selections!”

“Great little local spot! Just stopped in to get a beer before turning in for the night. really nice bar staff. Great local tap options! Didn't look at the food menu but everyones dishes around us looked very good.”
“We’ve tried 4 or 5 vermont creemee’s and so far this is the best one. Make sure to add the maple crunch topping to it. The store also sells a few other maple and vermont themed products. The exterior could be a bit cuter / more attractive, but the creemee is A+!”
“Nikki did an amazing job with our frilly retro 70s wedding cake. It looked incredible and tasted as good as it looked, she matched the reference photos perfectly. Our guests loved the vanilla lavender flavor, it was just subtle enough that it wasn't obviously floral and everyone was asking about it. Their coordination with our venue also made everything so easy, it felt like the cake just appeared. Thank you so much!!”

“Plenty of coffee options with a bit of a twist, but more importantly, just done well. The staff is very friendly and thorough with your order. The place is small but fits perfectly as a coffee house worth your visit. Sit inside at the counter and enjoy their vinyl tunes or take your order downtown to explore, either way, you'll be satisfied.”

“While it would have been nice to have espresso and/or cappuccino...they only had drip coffee. On the other hand their food was delicious! Understand why the locals enjoy grabbing a bite at place!@MeetMrOwl #BirdLife #OwlsTweet”

“Great experience. I was in town with my three kids for the eclipse. At first we had a difficult time finding a restaurant that was open on Sunday evening. We were so happy to find green peppers. We walked in close to closing time and the staff was as friendly as can be. Looked through the menu with us and help pick appropriate size meals. Being New Yorkers we have had bad experiences ordering pizza when out of state and usually avoid it, but this day we did order the pizza. It was amazing!!! My kids said it was one of their favorite things about our trip. We came back for more pizza for lunch the next day. We also had their chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. All were fresh and delicious. Very reasonable prices.”
“Too hot in summer. I don't understand why, if AC will not turned on or not enough for tio much people inside, why they don't just open the windows!!! ?”

“When picking up my pizza last night, they discovered the kitchen had my order wrong. They offered to make me another one (it was ready within 10 mins) and offered me a beer while I waited. The young man who assisted me was excellent. Definitely will be back!!”

Their proportions are great and you will always come away full and satisfied.Vegetarian options: They will work with you on your vegetarian needsParking: They have ample parking and their parking lot is big enough for a few commercial tractor trailers.Kid-friendliness: Our children have never had a bad time at this restaurant. All the servers were friendly and engaging with our children.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a crazy amount of space for wheelchairs.”

“Yummy pastries! It can get crowded sometimes inside but that's to be expected! Make sure if you don't like the way vegan or gluten free pastries taste that you look at the tags because I accidentally ordered a gluten free pastry one time lol! The bread is very good and the danishes are to die for! Super cute ambience in the spring/summer!”
“Warm belly is so good, smoothies are amazing. The server on Tuesday the 24th was so kind and great Everything was amazing. We come every time we come to Middlebury.”

“This is a hidden, out of the way spot with a lot of character - not the super-currated kind of character, but instead the more organic character of a hidden campus favorite hangout from the 1970s or 80s. It's small and cozy but, for those with mobility disabilities, I'd be surprised if you'd feel at ease in this tight space with uneven floors. There is a lovely outdoor patio eating area with picnic benches on the river, there is a ramp to access it, but I didn't remeber to look for accessible picnic tables, my apologies. I ordered the one vegan item I saw on the menu, the yam tacos. These are double-layered soft corn tortillas stuffed to the gills with black beans, roasted sweet potato (not yam), a simple cabbage slaw, and fresh cilantro. There was no way to pick these up, I had to remove 1/3 to 1/2 the filling of my two tacos to be able to pick them up. You do get a lot of food, the majority of it beans, you won't leave hungry. If you like your taco filling hearty and comfort-food-ish, you may love these. I like spices and complex flavors, and found these absolutely serviceable, but bland. My vegetarian and omnivore friends seemed to enjoy their dishes a bit more. The restaurant had a little freezer with these tiny ice cream cups that fit one full scoop of ice cream in them that was locally made and in a variety of flavors. This was a fun treat for my friends who can eat dairy-based foods, it was just enough to round out their meal and there were at least half a dozen flavors to choose from. It's a one-of-a-kind-place.Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options, they are not marked, you just have to find them, but it's not a long menu. There is one vegan option on the menu.Dietary restrictions: All of their tacos are corn tortilla-based, but if you are a strict celiac they do serve wheat-based sandwiches and burritos, so there is a risk of cross contamination.Parking: There is a strip of nose-in city provided parking right by their building, there is no parking dedicated to/owned by the business. We were there at peak lunch hour on a Friday and there were still multiple spots available, despite it being hopping, but it was easy to see that it could fill up at any moment so it isn't a sure bet you'll find something on that block of it's a busy time. There is one accessible parking space right by their building, it is the parking space closest to their building.Kid-friendliness: It's small, it's loud, there's a bar in it - not a typical kid place. That said, kids are clearly perfectly welcome, it's not a snobby place in the least, and there is a small kids menu list at the back of the menu. And the outside patio eating area on a nice day would be great with kids, there's room to stretch out.Wheelchair accessibility: The door *might* be wide enough for your chair or rolator, but I kind of doubt it. The sidewalk just in front of their door is uneven and had an almost invisible small step up that is a tripping hazard. The space inside is narrow and awkward to navigate.”

“Boutique hotel with fine dining. Food was absolutely amazing, delicious and they have a large wine list. Each room is different and the feel is like dining in a room in a mansion. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.”
