“I used to make annual summer trips to A&W but haven't been here for a couple of years. I was craving an A&W root beer float, so I made the hour plus trip. It didn't disappoint. This is one of the last, possibly the only one now, car hops in the state. It's great that this place continues to thrive. They are open from May to September, making it the perfect summer food stop. The young lady who served me was extremely nice and very attentive. She told me they make the root beer right at the restaurant, which I never knew. A&W root beer is THE only root beer. The onion rings were as delicious and crispy as I remember. And the root beer float really hit the spot. I ordered it in a large mug, which my server kindly rinsed for me to take home with me. Thank you for wonderful service today! I'll be back next summer at least once for sure! FYI, they don't take credit cards, so make sure to bring cash. They have an ATM on site if you need one.“
