“I did a wine tasting dinner at Lincoln Peak for a small group and it was fantastic. The winery is beautiful, and we were seated on a deck overlooking a pond and the vineyards, really a perfect setting. The wines were delicious, honestly I didn't think Vermont could produce great wine until I tasted these, our entire group was very impressed. Nichole, one of the owners, worked with me to arrange the event and was there to host us. She was great to work with, very helpful and responsive, and so knowledgable about the wines. Overall it was a fantastic event, and I'm looking forward to visiting Lincoln Peak again when I'm in the area.”

“Popular for a quick lunch, however they can be very busy, even with a DD next door. Pizzas taste and are priced good, but are a little thin. Still very popular. Sandwiches and subs are nothing special, but why reinvent the wheel? They are good as well.”

“I cannot thank Paris and the team enough for all the help with a surprise birthday party. There was 20 of us and they made it look easy. The food came out tasting perfect and within great timing. “The whole family enjoyed an excellent meal tonight start to finish. Service was friendly and quick. The setting was beautiful. Salads were fresh and flavorful. Had the kalette appetizer which the whole table enjoyed. Entrees were fantastic! I had the rib eye. One son had the steak au poivre; another had haddock with heirloom tomatoes, and my husband had the pork chops. We all agreed it was a perfect meal. We ended the meal with wonderful desserts - maple creme brulee, marscapone cheesecake, banana bread pudding, and ice cream with a praline topping. Just the right size and sweetness to finish this wonderful meal. We hope to be back soon.”

“Superb coffee roasted right in the back, and highly skilled baristas -- half the time I'm in there I see the owners training staff on the finer points of different drinks. They've even mastered the Tornado, a very obscure, strong and delicious espresso drink. The pastries are excellent but I wish they a few more -- maybe sandwiches or bagels and cream cheese. Nice vibe and good music, too.”

“Everything from appetizers to main course to dessert was nothing short of amazing. We had venison meatballs, fries, potatoes, chicken, chocolate cake, and blueberry sorbet. It was so good, I told my husband I’d drive the hour from our house just for a date night meal. Delicious! One FYI is that there are no meal options/menu for kids.”

“I was visiting Middlebury for a few weeks and decided to try this restaurant. It was excellent! I ended up returning many times during my vacation. My favorite dish was the Paneer Tikka. Definitely worth your time to go here. I never dined in the actual restaurant but their takeout business is great. My food was always hot when I picked it up.”

“This review is way overdue. We visited back in the fall. Tasting the wines was great, but the highlight was sampling Camilla's sherry. It tasted like Spain! It brought me back to a tapas place in Seville with one sip. Both she and her husband were warm and welcoming to two wine novices. A delightful surprise in Vergennes!”

“I wish I could give out a rare 6 star review. Today, my friends and I stopped in for an early lunch and were blown away by Costello’s.

To begin, the restaurant/market offers a welcoming and warm vibe with plenty of selection of wines, pastas, oils, treats, and deli selections to regularly purchase at any time. Things are clean, well organized, and presented well.

The service was absolutely exceptional. The host was exceptional in her service and friendliness. It is rare I do this, but I need to go out of my way to say just how much she made my day from how friendly and professional she was. She handled a very busy lunch rush with style and grace; effortlessly.

The food was sensational. I got the brisket, one of my friends got a Cuban, and one got a big salad. All were absolutely amazing. Fresh ingredients. Flavorful and thoughtful combinations, and perfect execution. The menu is extensive, and excellent. Their seafood options are very strong as well. Thank you to my man in the back. You make amazing food!

Overall if you need a great place that has you covered with the nice red wines, deli selections, pastas, sandwiches and fresh ingredients then stop by today! “My friend and I visited yesterday 09/30/2025 for her birthday lunch as she is "Vegan and gluten free" and this looked perfect. It was perfect!!!!! The whole experience was a 10 out of 10. Excellent delicious and healthy organic soup for lunch with a peanut noodle salad, and of course a slice of banana, chocolate, nut bread. The gentleman who took our order delivered our food to our table with a smile. We talked about our lunch experience the rest of the day. Can't wait to go back. Thank you so much, Dena & Erika”
