My husband and I, from Niagara Region, Ontario came to Buffalo yesterday to do some Christmas shopping. We stopped in to Caputi’s for lunch. I had the wings and my husband had the roast beef on weck. The wings were the best wings I’ve ever tasted! So crispy and saucy! My husband said that his sandwich was terrific too! We were served by Lisa, who was always there if you needed anything and was outstanding! I can’t say enough great things about this tavern!

Had their fish fry tonight. Worst fish fry we ever had. A small piece of fish covered in an excessive amount of batter and the inside was gooey. Fries were over cooked and at most a tablespoon of potato salad and coleslaw. So disappointed.

stopped at 9:30 pm Saturday. Bar was populated by regulars watching the MLB world series. Bartenders were very friendly and prompt. Beer is their thing here, but they had a small wine selection also, Drinks were good, as were chicken wings and quesadilla. So, overall friendly staff serving good drinks and decent bar food for OK prices.

Great wings. Selection of sauces is unique and delicious. Pizza is also great for those that enjoy Woodburn oven pizza.
First time visiting. Nice atmosphere for a large group, however the server was very forgetful (even though she was pleasant) and honestly should have had a helper for a group of 25+ eating. The salad dressing they claimed was Thousand Island was definitely not (still have no clue what it was because it smelled funny and server even went back to kitchen to double check) which made the salad not good as it was eaten plain. My children said the fries and pizza were not so good either. The fresh squeezed lemonade was delicious but no free refills so that was a turn off. The Bun was stamped with a Buffalo silhouette so that was interesting looking but not super tasty. There were no kids cups and the early request of French fries for young children was forgotten.

Yes, the food and the atmosphere was wonderful, however, the staff is what makes this place a gem to visit. Excuse the spellings..Maddie, MacKenzie and Lisa were so personable, it was a pleasure to sit at the bar and enjoy their company and conversation. Definitely try the pizza and do not be afraid to try a unique topping..it's worth it! Try the Cajun Cattleman and Honey Sriracha wings. We overheard, who I assume was a pastry chef, that he made Brownie Bottom Cheesecake with Caramel...YES PLEASE! All in all, a great experience. Thank you.

Standard menu with a wood fired pizza option. Cheese and pepperoni, 15 bux. Added sausage for 3 and that's a lot for a topping. Overall it was OK, very thin crust, quite heavy on the spices if you like that.
