I used to come to Jasmines all of the time. Recently, they made a new rule where you’re no longer able to order your food how you like it (less spicy, more spicy, etc.). I asked the server for my order less spicy, as I always have for the past 10+ years. The lady answering the phone was rude, stated they don’t allow that anymore as a recent rule change and was completely fine losing a 10+ year customer. I reiterated several times that I’d like my food just a little less spicy as I always have but wouldn’t budge at all. Said they’ll only do it one way. Very poor customer service willing to lose a loyal customer due to a recent rule change not allowing customers to receive their food how they want it. What sense does that make?? Won’t be coming here again.

Very, very generous portions. Pad Thai was really good.

So very average. Huge portions but bland tasting. The squid was overwhelmingly the tasteless batter. The sweet and sour sauce was also a strange, milky pink colour and had an earthy taste I've never had before; mostly cornstarch and vinegar? The batter was wet with oil, so it was not hot enough when it went into the fryer. My wife’s Pad Thai was overly stodgey and had a metallic taste. My pepper and garlic chicken tasted of just garlic, so you could not even taste the large pieces of chicken. They should go and eat at Rin Thai on Main/Harlem or, Thai Orchid on Evans, to realise how fragrant and tasty Thai food should be.

Decided while waiting for my vehicle to be serviced to try this Thai restaurant out.

The service was excellent.

Being from NYC, I was accustomed to having international cuisine. I was quite surprised of the portion size of the food. The entree for dinner was enough for 2 people.

The 2 spring rolls with chicken and shrimp combined was amazing.

Awesome experience.

Coconut chicken soup w lemongrass was very delicate and tasty. The chicken was tasteless though. The spring roll was a 10. My husband's roast duck was awful. Just bland. Probably cooked the day beforehand abd reheated. The veggies that came with it were half raw...just terrible. Since we visited last about 4 years ago it seems it's gone downhill. Perhaps the other dishes are fine.

The portion size of the pad Thai is larger than other restaurants around. However it is usually a bit dry. Just adding more sauce would be perfect. Overall it’s fine and I would go back. Friendly staff and quick service.

Came in during the weekday lunch special, awesome price for huge portion of food; however, the portion for protein is very little.

Take-Out experience:

Shrimp count on the Pad Thai: 6

Very good, but as someone who often avoids too much spice, this is mild-0, add your own spice from the provided container, and then probably more from your own pantry.

Huge portion of noodles, very small portion of protein. In a chicken Pad Thai, I'd estimate 1/2 lb chicken.

This is hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Best in the US indisputable. I only lived in Buffalo a year and a half and this place was a weekly or more trip for me. Literally I miss it every day. If I could get this stuff airmailed I freaking would.

I take responsibility for not noticing on the menu that bamboo shoots are listed as the first ingredient in the green Thai curry, however the restaurant should be ashamed to serve green curry that was almost entirely bamboo shoots as my pictures show. Actually tried eating it and regret not actually telling the staff member who came by to ask if my food was OK that I was not flat out honest vs. polite. Curry sauce was awful to add insult to injured taste buds. Fresh spring rolls were the saddest things ever and peanut sauce flavorless. Both dishes came out so quickly - under ten minutes that there is a highly likelihood these were not made fresh and end of the night scraps. Certainly looked and tasted like them. Have had Thai on both US coasts and even in South Dakota and it’s been four star and NEVER used bamboo shoots as the main ingredient. Jasmine frankly owes me a refund for this over priced embarrassment but definitely will not be going back and just cutting the loss to a lesson learned.

Whether I'm eating takeout or dining in, the quality of the food is always excellent. The coconut ice cream drizzled with honey and peanuts is divine. I had my mom in here once and she tried ordering something off the menu, but it wasn't what she imagined it would be. So I tried again and chose the pork dumplings and crispy noodles for her. The crispy noodles were supposed to come with chicken etc on the side, but something glitched on the ordering app and she just got the crispy noodles, but she still really loved them. I think she found a new snack food.
