Very open and spacious diner. Fast service. Breakfast portion was good. Their home fries were seasoned like no other I have tasted. They were very good. Although breakfast is breakfast in most places, this diner was a good pick.

One of the worst food establishments I've been to in a very long time. My table got 2 sandwiches (cajun chicken and a burger) both of which the breads were stale. I asked for new rolls and they brought back a hot microwaved plate of bread that was still stale. I tried to just eat the middle of the cajun chicken sandwich but the chicken was so dry and tough. The burger was also extremely dry and you can tell they are old frozen patties. We didn't eat the sandwiches and asked for the plates to be taken away. When the bill comes, they still charged full price for both sandwiches which is just horrible customer service. I wish either of us ate the meals to say at least we left full but we left starving. I would never send anyone I cared about here. There are plenty of other great local diners and restaurants in the surrounding area with staff and owners that actually take pride in what they do!

The waitress was so rude to my family. Just because you hate your life and your job doesn't mean you need to take it out on us. Also they got the order wrong. If you like having 23 year old waitresses treat you like garbage for an hour and a half, Alexis Diner is the place for you.

I used to looooove Alexis, but the past few times the food has been meh. Coffee was burnt tasting, the gyro meat was verrrry dry. Salad was great, and service as always was fabulous. It is worth the wait for a table, and has been around for as long as I can remember. Will go back for sure.

Our favorite diner! I have a hard time giving a diner 5 stars... there have been some issues. My niece always orders fries when they are "pictured on the menu" but the two times we've ordered takeout from Alexis her sandwiches have come without fries... I guess you have to specify. The salmon is always very overdone but I'm sure it's frozen, I get it, it's a diner. The breakfast is good and the taco salad is pretty tasty. My husband usually gets a Greek or chef salad and loves them.

We love Alexis Diner. We've gone a few times now, my Dad and I went again a week ago. The servers are always that "diner sassy" style of server, you get referred to as 'Hon' and 'sweetheart', and it has a small town feel to it. Food is always good, very quick on delivery, and we love going.

Courtney was our waitress and she was not attentive to our meals or drinks. Came by one time to ask if everything was okay the entire time. Was our first time here and we won’t be coming back. Excepted more for a well know diner.
Solid diner meal in Rensselaer. Wide open parking leads up to a glass and silver ornamented diner. There's a counter with TV's. Inside the staff is in a state of disarray. Kitchen crew were serving food to tables, while waitresses chatted it up at the bar. The menu is well laid out, mostly burgers and wraps, salads and pasta and meat dishes. It's a 'Greek'-diner. My burger was cooked fine but the bread bun was brittle. The onions were fresh but not sautéed. My waitress totally forgot my drink. Alexis needs a REAL manager or maitre'd during the day to oversee staff/kitchen! Review: 4

ESA dog not welcome. Staff asked everytime to seat at the left side and place dog under table because of "safety" (waitress could trip on it) under table is not very clean my dog could die if he would eat rotten food) if your baby needs baby seat they might ask you to to place it under table too! . Some dishes are very good but not everything. Sometimes have to wait for long even the place is not very busy. If you catch a busy time don't expect much attention. I had to carry my leftovers in a napkin to the desk to ask for a box (a group arrived better leave)

The bill was shocking. I asked the waitress for onion on my burger, she said no problem. The burger deluxe came out with no onion. I ordered a side salad. I was hungry and wanted something quick. The salad came out with the burger deluxe even though I wanted it before the main dish. Service was slow. Hope this helps to improve your fine establishment.
