As always, the experience at Dino is quality. Good food, good drinks and great staff! Super consistent great place to go, very reliable. Also a fun environment at the bar, since the bar staff is always a lot of fun and pretty attentive!
Never let's you down! Dinosaur BBQ is synonymous to Troy waterfront. I have been coming to this place for a decade now and it's beautiful in the summer, specifically during sunset. The briskets and pulled pork are a highlight. One of the best collard greens I have ever had. If you are in Troy and love BBQ, don't miss this.

Never disappointed! Fabulous food, service, entertainment and environment!
Our group of six dined here for lunch on Saturday, arriving at 11:30. Getting a table was easy due to the spaciousness of the restaurant, which boasts a large number of tables. The atmosphere was fantastic.We had a variety of orders, with some opting for sandwiches and others choosing meat plates—no complaints from anyone! The brisket was particularly good. I got the BBQ fried rice as a side for the first time, and it was surprisingly delicious! The chicken wings, with jerk glaze sauce, were cooked to perfection and had a delightful grill flavor.I would highly recommend making a reservation here, as it tends to get busy!
This place is always busy so expect a wait. Waitresses are also always in a hurry, so don't expect anything too low key eating here. Great food.

Amazing, delicious food. Price was good. Waitress nove bit bit too eager to move customers along. I recommend the family style dinner where you get a bit of everything for a decent price. Great view of the water too! Will go there again when in the area.

I had the poutine and the largest plate availability with a variety of meats (I’m forgetting the name), paired with a locally brewed lager. It was excellent! I can’t wait til next time I’m in Troy to stop by :)

Been to this location a total of 3 times since I’m not local and only visit when I’m in the area which is very 6 months. All 3 times I have been told there is a wait to sit, yet there is empty tables everywhere. This last time I was placed on a waiting list and given at the door a 30 min time frame I accepted to wait and only waited 3 min. Not sure if they are trying to deter people from eating in there seems weird as soon as you step in there’s a wait but if you decide to stay you’ll find that’s not the case. This last waitress was awful had to get my own sauce and utensils she had a attitude and didn’t stop to check our table she handed my 5 year old son the check while he was eating, he was even confused. Food is good though other than that. If near Syracuse go to that dinosaur it’s amazing and never disappoints.

I was expecting more flavor but left disappointed. The high reviews are definitely deceptive. I ordered the combo meal with 3 meats and 2 sides. The meats included ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The two sides were mac and cheese and smothered greens. The enjoyed the ribs. They were seasoned and cooked well. Everything else was lacking. The brisket was a bit dry and had no flavor. The pull pork was okay if you smothered it with bbq sauce. The mac and cheese was clumpy and needed some creole seasoning or sumthing. That smothered green was swimming in vinegar. It was harsh to eat. The corn bread was dry. The only saving grace for this place is the friendly staff, water views, and good appetizers. I would recommend the deviled eggs and wings. Everything else....eat with caution.
